so this is my 1st grow room i have tin foil on the walls and as for lighting i have an 18 inch 15 watt 2700k flourescent tube and a hydrofarm fixture with a 125w 6400k bulb which i will be using for vegetating but when its time to flower i will switch lights and put a 15 watt 6400k tube and a 125 watt 2700k bulb, for ventelation i have a 10' fan on a stand circulating the air and a 4' fan going out the back as an exhaust, i have a digital thermometer that reads temp and humidity a stand to put the pot on and a plastic bin to catch any water just incase it drips out i also have a digital timer it will be set 18-6 for vegetating and 12-12 for flowering im waiting on my seeds but im very excited to use my new space. everyone let me know what you think!!! ;)

use the black/white visqueen plastic. best option. everything else seems good. you made a way for fresh air to get in, right?

well i have sheetrock covering the hole in my closet, and at the top of the sheetrock there is a 2 inch gap because i cut it too short so air gets into that

I'm not sure if it'll make a big difference in temp, although that is a bit warm. If you're seeing temp get to 84F in the winter, you're going to see big problems in the summer. Overheating is one of the easier ways to stress the plant. 76 is the magic number, but I've found that not-very-sensitive plants (like AK or Northern Lights) can do fine in 80F.

I don't know what the temp is in the adjacent room, but to get that temp down, you should probably improve your air circulation. The best way I've found to do this is to remove the light hood's glass panel (if it has one), cap one of the light hood's ducting adapters, and duct the other one out to your exhaust fan. This exhausts the heat from the light and the air from the room at the same time. It sounds like your passive intake (the gap) should be enough, but if you cant control your temperature, you may want to consider another fan to force air in or a better fan (like an inline duct fan) to exhaust air out. Or both.

I'd go with the black'n'white visqueen plastic. nothing can reflect light like the white side of that stuff. You can find it online or at your local hydroponics store. But seriously, you're better with nothing than tin foil.

NVM about the ducting to the light, etc. I just saw that you're using floro's. Can you get a picture up of the whole room?
