Blue Dream Bubblicious 1st Indoor Grow

Starting this thread because it has been a long and hard journey so far....
Wanted to keep track of flowering stages of grow...
Also all questions, comments and tips more than welcome...feel free to posts
That being said in about 7 more weeks it will all be worth it!!!

Started with 6 plants
2 Blue Dream- Still Alive
2 Bubblicious - 1 Still Alive
2 Trainwreck- Dead

Clones from a buddy on my b-day turning out to be buds for christmas present! lol

Originally had planned to do ebb & flow (flood & drain). Changed my mind and went with DIY DWC/Bubbleponics. After what was somewhat of rootrot (really dunno) and battling res temps decided to go to coco.

So lowdown...
2 Blue Dream and 1 Bubblicious plants coco 5 gallon buckets
14th day of flowering

Grow Room Specs/ Equipment
Light-400w MH/HPS
DIY cooltube...worked really well for about $35 investment.
2 4" 155 cmf fans with carbon scrubber
2'W x 4'L x 7'H Generic Grow Tent from Ebay
Co2-Exhale Co2 Bag- Ordered waiting on Hydro Store to get in...by Friday is what they tell me

I hand water every 1-2 days depending on weight of plant. Usually 1/2-3/4 gallon. I use about 5 gallons every 3-4 days.

Environment
Room Temp -
Lights off 69-73
Lights on 8:30 p.m.-8:25 a.m. 81-84
Humidity-
Lights off 50-65% ( Been raining and foggy last 2 weeks)
Lights on 35-45%

After little over 2 months of battling tons of problems (knock on wood no pest problems) and spending lots of money I think I have pretty much got things all in tune... Some pics that I took from beginning to now.

Some with IPhone and some with my camera...future pics will all be with camera just found my cable!

Taller of BD about 36-40" Transplanted to to coco and topped both BD at this point added screen. Took about 18" or so off.

After transplant to coco...plants really took off especially the smaller of the bubb. As you can see top of plant is stretched. Grew about a 12" in 4 days! Dropped light but...

Bubblicious

Seems after 2 weeks that the Blue Dream has bud sites all over. The Bubblicious seems to have just a few with a a much smaller buds??? Have see how each continues over the next few weeks...

Just added Exhale bag...paid $20 so have to see if works. Noticed some white powdery stuff on few of the leaves...hoping it isn't mildew but going to spray some SM-90 tomorrow morning when lights go off...if I see any more I will have to take more drastic measures! Will be foliar spraying Bush Master 3x every 3 days.

Right on Greenbuddha very nice setup you have going on here tons of info really helps me and everyone know what kinda of setup your running for the grow!!

Plants are looking very nice buds are just going to start getting bigger and bulk up as the weeks go on. Not to sure how the bottom of your plants look but you might want to clean them up(remove 12 inchs of growth from the bottom of the plant this will help your top colas/buds bulk up. With both of my plants i did a trim but not high enough and now i have tons of popcorn on the bottom of the plant bla, oh well still smoke. Oh yea you were talking about your buds are only popcorn shit man your in week 2 give her time she will blow up on you, your going to love what you see by week 5/6.

Thanks again for all the info Hulk. 1st indoor grow so seems to be coming along good now. You are right they are starting to bulk more now...especially with the BudXL been going for a week now. I lollipopped both the BD's about a week and a half before I turned the lights to 12/12. Then again after about another week. They have way outgrown their screens...but they seemed to be helping support fopr the most part. I've had to start tying up some of the taller branches but that is why I have the green garden screen stuff attached around most of the tent. Just trimmed up the Bubblicious againg here yesterday morning.

End of Week 4 Update.

Seems like the H&G BudXL is helping the flowers bulk up a lot more. I just mixed new nutes tonight. Using 5 gallons every 4 days or so...been really dry here in South Cali last few days so I have been making sure they have had plenty of water to drink. Humidty has been in the teens with lights on. Temps on the high side around 88 or so with lights on but no burning. Foliar sprayed Humbolts Bush Master to help stop the vertical growth right after lights out on 31st and again on the 3rd. Had up the light so hopefully with 1-2 foliar sprays will cut all the growth. The Sugar Fairy has been coming every night sprinkling all the plants more and more! LOL

Thanks Hulk! I'm very satisfied at this point for all the problems I had early in this grow.

Update Week 5 Day 31 Flowering

Mixed up new batch of nutes tonight...added the top booster. Also did quite a bit of maintence. Had to tie up 5 or 6 of the colas. They are getting quite top heavy! Temp has cooled off quite a bit here in South Cali. Humidty is up a little. Took some measurements of the plants and main colas.

All of the main colas around 1.5" in width 5-6" Tall

Blue Dream A is about 48" Pics 1-7

Bubblicious is about the same size as BD B 44" or so Pics 13-17

Here is a pic of the Exhale Bag if any would like to see it. Not sure if it working or not but the next few days after I put it in the tent the trichs really started to develop. Can't hurt $20 so not too big of an investment. Think they run $30-40 at my local hydro shop.



Got a question to anyone Sub'd or just dropping in...I have quite a few big fan/shade/water leaves that are blocking light to some of the lower bud sites...can I cut them to allow more light to the lower sites?

Nice plants. I would avoid cutting off any leaves if possible. Any chance you can tuck some of them out of the way?

Thanks Pablo! Yeah man I don't think so I tried, most of them are bigger than my hand. Was thinking maybe just cutting half of the leaf off like when you take a clone??

Don't do it you'll be taking away from your bud. The plant needs those leaves to help develop nice buds, cutting them will take away from the photosynthesis. I grow Blue Dream

Thanks Real...Saw your plant in another thread...Baby is a GRUMP! Guess it would be better to sacrifice some nug production on a few branches than to take away from the whole plant. Think I'm just going to let it go or try to figure out a way to tuck it some how.

What do you have it currently? I think the reason why mine died was due to shock. It has a massive root ball when I pulled it from the DWC. After talking to a couple my buddies came to conclusion that it was the shock of going from an open air/water DWC to the coco the roots sufficated. Was wierd cuz 1/3 of the plant was still doing well. I kept it under the light for over a week and just didn't recover. Trust me I had many of problems when I first started...Clones just got dropped off at my pad on my bday and my buddy just said " have fun!" Only had my tent and light. They spent man days sitting in a rubbermaid storage container under the bathroom lights along or a flourecent pool lamp until I got my shit sorta figured out. So with a lot more money spent than I orginally intended I'm still learning and figuring things out as I go.

Whats goin on man? Thought id come check out your grow, everything is lookin good. I got one Deep purple in a dwc she is gettin big! The rest of my grow is all soil.

Just leave the small stuff there and finish them after you harvest the tops. I wouldnt advise cutting leaves, simply tuck or move them. +rep subd

Thanks for stoppin by Aev thanks for the +rep right back at yah! Yeam man I'm just going to leave them alone. Like I was telling Real I would rather sacrifice some weight and time on the smaller/lower nugs than hurt the wellbeing of the entire plant by choppin leaves. Should be some new pics in next few days.

Cool cool! You outta come by and check out my two grow journals. Just harvested in one and gettin ready to flip lights in the other.

Just check'd it out. Looking good man can't wait to see them Bastards! LOL Sucks you had the issue with the pesticide.

Nothin much to update on..pics early next week. Did notice that they seem to be drinking a lot less water over that last few days. I hand water between 3/4-1 gallon every other day for the BD's and 1/2-3/4 gallon for the Bubb and it would result in a little run off. Last 2 watering there has been a lot of run off watering 3/4 gallon on both BD's and 1/2 on the Bubb. Run off is not clear but very light. Seems that the nutes are staying in the coco? Anyone else experience this?
