Indoor and outdoor medical grow.

I've been posting (rarely) and lurking (a lot) on this site for years and finally decided to make another grow journal after having decent success with my last grow. I have been 215 compliant for 3 years now and have been growing since late 2008.

Anyway, I currently am running a 250 watt HPS in a cooltube with a 4 inch duct system connected to two 80MM axial fans in a push-pull system for cooling the light, along with a 120 MM fan pulling air in and a 45 MM fan pushing air out. I know it's a bit odd, but the 45 MM fan is more than enough to cycle air out and with the 120 MM fan blowing air in it also helps strengthen the stems (I hope). My box is 2'x22"x4' (lxwxh) and the average temp stays about 75 degrees. I currently have 1 blue dream, 1 afgoo, 1 blue cheese, and 3 bagseed clones I took from my last grow. I also have 3 more blue dream clones going, because honestly the bagseed was OK at best, and the one blue dream clone I originally got to root is looking a bit stressed. Anyway, here's some pics. Feel free to provide input. This is my first grow with this box, but I think I built a decent one. I don't have a carbon filter, because honestly I don't really have to worry about the smell. I'm just growing enough to have medicine for myself.

The plants (in order from top left to bottom right): blue dream, afgoo, bagseed, blue cheese, bag seed x 2.

Second pic is results from my last crop. Decent potency, but the taste just isn't all there. A bit of a harsh smoke, but I also over dried it a bit. I am just flowering these clones in hopes of pulling maybe half an ounce off each. I have the clones in 1 gallon soil bags and am using Kellogg Patio Plus potting soil along with the technaflora recipe for success

Sorry for the bad quality, all I got is a 3.2 MP phone camera

I also have a few outdoor plants going. Mostly using them as mothers, however. I also am taking advantage of living in the central valley and am rooting some clones outside. Never tried it before but it seemed like a good idea. Using the same soil as I am using indoors. Not sure of the size of the pots, most likely 5 gallons or so for the 3 mothers in the green house. I also have 1 autoflowering plant outside. I bought it at a co-op and all they knew about it was that it was female, it was auto flowering, was sativa (supposedly) and went by the name Brazilian Rudy. I can't find any info on the genetics other than that lowryder has brazilian roots and is obviously autoflowering so I suspect that is what it is. According to the grower it will finish around the end of July so we'll see what the quality is. It was looking a bit sad when I bought it (they had it under flouros that were about a foot away) but after a couple days under the sun and a full strength feeding of flowering nutrients it has perked up. It had a bit of insect damage, but I have been treating it with neem oil. About another week and I will be able to stop the treatment.

Pics in order: mother plants in greenhouse (far left one is Blue Dream, the other 2 are unknown bagseed), "Brazilian Rudy", and one I am currently trying to reveg. It is supposedly AK-47,and what I harvested from it was pretty good quality, so I am hoping it reveg's. It looks a bit better than the picture makes it seem. I had the white balance set incorrectly

Quick reply doesn't seem to work...maybe advanced reply will.

Anyway, all 3 cuttings I took died. Too much humidity I guess. Trying again with 4 more cuttings. BD doesn't seem to like to clone, anyone got some tips?

Edit: yes, I am aware that BD is a clone-only strain. But it doesn't seem to like to clone when I do it I guess.

Got a few updates. Still no luck with getting any more Blue Dream clones. The one that did take is still looking pretty small, but then again all of them are. It has only been about 2 weeks since it rooted though and even then the root ball was pretty tiny when it was transplanted into the soil. I plan on giving it some root 66 next watering to help it catch up. The other clones are looking good except for the Afgoo which is developing some yellow splotches on the leaves. I'm thinking it's a nutrient deficiency so I am going to give it a quarter strength of nutrients. They are already showing signs of flowering, but I am going to give them quarter strength veg nutes first then the rest of the feedings will be flowering nutrients.

Got a couple of pictures too. The BR is just loving the sun and is looking MUCH better. It is, of course, budding and is already producing quite a bit of resin. Already looking and smelling quite tasty. At this rate, it looks like it will only be another 4 weeks or so before it's ready. Feel free to leave suggestions or anything else. Feedback is always welcomed!
