Going Back To My Roots, Bato Buckets On The Drip!!!!!

Ok so last grow didn't go so well Neighbors n boarding season but I'm back doing what I love growing and smoking that sweet sinsemilla. I am a legal patient in Cali, and I grow for myself.

Strains:
This time around, I am growing some Querkle by TGA subcool (Space Queen x Urkle), Some Afghan White Widow(Afgoo x White Widow), and some Blue Cheese (Big Buddha Cheese x Blueberry).

Grow Room:
I am using my old ghetto but refined outdoor grow box. The dimensions are L 33" x W 49" x H65". I have a 8" duct booster fan rated at 500 cfm for the exhaust and a window fan for the intake and it moves air around inside the box amazingly, (I know the duct booster fan only moves 4' of air, but I'm only running two feet of duct if that). Then I have one 12" fan and a 6" fan. For the lighting, I plan I using a 600w MH for vegging and a HPS for Flowering hooked up to an air cooled hood. I am running a drip system run on a timer for three times a day for 15 mins at a time with 3 gal Dutch Bato Buckets, which are amazing, because they drain the water out of the bottom of the bucket efficiently ( http://www.pchydro.com/grow-systems-parts-supplies-c-14_17/bato-bucket-no-elbows-p-2670 ) check them out!!!

Right now, I am vegging them outside for half the day, then under the flouro light for the other half, except for the Blue Cheese, which hasn't finished rooting yet that stays under the flouro in the humididome. I need to find a place to trade my 1000w Xtrasun setup for a smaller 600w setup, so I can finally get this thing in full swing. Hopefully will have everything by this weekend keeping my fingers crossed!!! The pics are ok I took them on my phone gonna have an update by Monday hopefully with a LIGHT!!!!!

Alright got the buckets hooked up yesterday all I need now is light!!! I have decided to go green and use 2 x 90w UFO lights in my grow room. I know I wont yield as much, but I'll save in my power bill as well as ventilation. The most important thing that I was worried about was the temps issue since it is summer and I live in a warm - hot area, but the LED's dont run hot!! I'm kind of excited actually has anyone used two UFO's in a similar 2.5' x 4' x 5.5' space or heard anything of it. I Saw Green's 4 UFO's in his 5x5 tent, but they are stretchy and I want to grow SCROG style and get some cola's goin!!! Here are some pics of my setup I have my filter hooked up n filled with carbon. The babies are chillin outside for the time being, hardening up n growing slow. I cut out six 10" x 12" holes in an IKEA coffee table for the buckets, and used the bottom tray to hold the water return pipes up n in place. I love my little ghetto setup, but it works to say the least!!!

whats up brotha u got a nice line up going there the afgoo widow sounds interesting def top/fin and lst and have some cfls around i like the clip lites from hd u can adjust them many ways and the reflectors help moves branches to open up the plant u can also unscrew the reflector so u can getem in really close ima stick around to see this grow u got me interested

Yup well after a full day of research I decided to go with a 600w cooltube instead of LED for 1 reason Price. It would cost me over twice as much to get enough light now. In the long run I will end up paying more, but I cant afford it now. So 600w cooltube it is!

Finally got the 600w hooked up to the exhaust and running, temps staying under 85F with everything running!! I have the light 30” from the canopy right now and they are looking good. I am using GH’s Flora line with some additives: Floralicious Plus, Diamond Nectar, Root 66. I use the Diamond Nectar and the Root 66 every other feeding and not with each other, but I use the Floralicious Plus every reservoir change along with my grow, micro, and bloom.
The only problems that I have run into so far were the light burn from being too close to the flouro:wall: but that was only on the widow#2 and the heat with the 600w, but I hooked it up to the air vent and all is good in the hood. I’m using a HPS for vegging to get bushier plants with good node spacing, then flower a nice canopy. That’s the plan and also using the big hood got a better deal on a ballast. All he photo's are labeled ENJOY!
OHHH yeah these are the Macho Nacho’s my specialty platter!

Ok I hate not dislike but hate it when the reply box doesn't post your reply after you push the button it just deletes it AWESOME! they need to fix this lil problem pronto. I guess I am going to start writing everything on word the paste it into my journal.

Hey people everything is running pretty smooth, except for the heat issue. I ordered another induct fan but a six inch which is going to connect the filter to the hood and help out the 8”. Hopefully with both fans it will cool the light and pump out around 350-400 CFM. Then I could put the light closer to my plans as well. It also looks like a nitrogen or cal/mag deficiency with the leave. They are a light green almost turning yellow, so I added a little more Flora grow to the reservoir and we’ll see what happens, if this doesn’t work, then I have some Magical left over from last grow. I want to perfect this box, so if anyone has any suggestions, please tell me all is welcome! Once again all the picturesare marked!!

Ok so I checked my package and its on its way here yes!!! So I'm gettin No love on this journal so far

Ok so I checked my package and its on its way here yes:hump:, the grow room is at 91F right now no bueno, but its also hot as shit outside right now, I am going to upgrade my little lab after this grow w/ an air conditioner !!! I flushed them then drained with PH’d water. I checked the PPM of the water after they changed the filters on the Crystal Glacial Water Dispenser and it was around 10 PPM WAAAAAAY better than I was getiing about a week ago when it was 60. So I added an grow feeding with a little more than medium strength and the plants responded well, so I bent the shit out of them and there wide open for sunlight HAHA!! My Blue Cheese is catching up to my AWW WOWWWA didnt expect this, because I rooted them about a week longer and they were behind. Not as dense though, but stretchy, gonna start getting the netting up soon about 15-16"" from the bottom of the pots is where I plan to start the canopy. I'm gettin No love on my journal so far MAN! We’ll see what happens when there’s bud porn, but that wont be for another monthish. Anyways stay coo and be wise:joint:.

So I trimmed the Querkle and the Blue Cheese earlier today and took some clones, then after looking at them tonight I noticed GROWTH!! It's looking alot better in there. Tomorrow I'm going to trimm and take some clones from the Afghan Widow! I'm going to post some pics up tommorrow on my progress. I love these strains, although the Afghan Widow is looking a lil droopy. Gonna check to make sure the buckets are draining fully:-? aright hittin the hay now and good growin to all and to all a good crop! HAHA I'm hi:joint:

Loving your setup.
I am about to grow with GH's Eurogrower myself.
What is your feed schedule? Do you drip feed at night? Are you using Coco and hydroton only?
I am planning on running a SoG perpetual grow by adding two new bato buckets to my bloom room every 2.5 weeks.
Do you know if there is a problem with drip feeding the same GH bloom nutes to different age plants?
Keep up the good work!

Thanks bro nice to see someone up in here! My last run, I was feeding three times a day, but during this run they are liking only one feeding a day. The Afghan Widow is very temperamental I only feed this one once every other day and I do his by pooring water manualy by hand in the the Blue Cheese, and Querkle. And yes I am only using hydoton and coco. Don't feed at night it causes root rot, because the plants only take up nutrients when the lights are on I believe. Each plant at different life stages get different doses, you can look at the feeding schedules for further info, but thank you and good luck, stick around I'm about to throw these babies into BLOOM. posting some pics in a few!

Ok so I trimmed my babies up got a bucket full of leaves and a cloner full of clones. I then raised the Querkle buckets so they would get close to the canopy. I put the trellis netting upthen realized I would need a lil something extra for the Blue Cheese, so I put a metal screen on top of them to slow them down a lil, so almost everything is level. This is my frst time doing this so if anyone can lend a hopeful hand it is much appreciated

Thanks Cannabis420, just picked up some Floraklean from the hydro store today and flushed the shiiiiiiit out of my plants!!!:weed:

Flush
Floraklean 7.5ml per Gallon with tap water @ 200 ppm's PH'ed 5.8

Rinse
Superthrive 1 drop per Gallon with filtered and uv light:hump: really great stuff

I Flushed then with 15 gallons of PH'd water from the faucet and 110ml of Florakean. Ran the drip system for about 30 mins moving the feeder tube every 5 mins completely saturating all of the coco in each bucket. I then epmtied the reservoir out and refilled it with the Rinse with superthive and let the water run for 15 mins. I am going to let the plants sit in this soak while they take up the last bit of there 18 hour light cycle before they go into 24 hour darkness. I will not water for that time, so hopefull the Superthrive will do its thang! Tommorrow, I will prepare the first flowering solution in the jugs and let them sit over night, so ounce I kick on the lights for the first 12 hour light cycle, I have a new brew ready to go.

Bloom Brew

Flora Micro: 6 ml per gallon

Flora Grow: 3 ml per gallon

Flora Bloom: 9 ml per gallon

Floralicious Plus: 1 ml per gallon

Flora Nectar: 2.5 ml per gallon

Mad farmer PH Up: 3 drops in each 5 gallon jug

Superthrive: 1 drop per gallon

PH: 5.7-5.8
PPM: 835

:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

I made this on my lil test plants, that I have outside and they are looking verry green and happy, they are now in 3 weeks flowering. I use my Three outdoor plants as my test plant, I plan to see how much I nutes I could pump into these pants before dying. I wish I had the same strains going, because the Afghan Widow seems a lil testy. I got some Organicide from home depot to help with the pest control, gave the leaves a shine and no sign of stress. It has edible fish oil with sesame oil as the main ingredient. I also have some einstein oil, but I cant take out the plants, because of the trellis, so Organicide it is!I have no visible bug problems, I keep the room pretty clean this is just preventative.

Whats goin on everyone I am super stoked for my garden, which is flourishing at the moment:hump:! I think that the flush was a must to leach all the shit out of the pots and prep them for a different blend. Last time around, I didn't flush and received nute burn. The plant are taking everything in niiicely. The temps are around 75-83F during the day and 60-65F at night thanks to my newish 6" in duct booster fan that I McGuyvered in the 8" hood opening. This alone cooled down the room 7 degrees and the two 8" wall mounted turbo fans keep the air moving around veeery well. I pu them on opposing walls , so they just mix the air around like the box was a blender. The only problem is the querkle is getting TOWERED f*ck, cant really raise the pots up any higher! The light currently is 15-20" from the canopy and I am going to have to raise it soon most likely, I wanna see how close they could get, hopefully give the Querkle some time to catch up! The Blue Cheese is some really great stuff, mad props. Alright everyone thats about it Foo's Today have a good one!:weed:
