1st Grow 210Watts CFL Bagseed

What up guys, I'm a new grower and a new-ish forum member. Although this is my first post don't get discriminated from continuing reading.

I don't have any pictures of the plant growing from seed, I only have pictures from now (3rd week of flowering). The reason being, I honestly wasn't even sure if I could keep the plant alive and I didn't want to post a failure. But now, 3 weeks into flowering and I am feeling much more confident in myself.

For my setup I have a 4'x4'x6' grow area enclosed and sealed, unfortunately I don't have any kind of reflective material in my grow area (super-low budget grow). I'm running (5) 42Watt 2700K CFL's pushing out 2,700 lumens a piece, totaling with 210 watts and 13,500 lumens. 3 of the bulbs are in 10" aluminum reflectors while the other 2 are in 7.5" aluminum reflectors. I have an oscillating fan in my grow area as well as 1 intake fan and 2 exhaust fans.

I decided to grow in soil considering it was the safest idea for a new grower such as myself. The seed was from a bag of mids. Crazy thing is I only picked out one seed and it turned out to be a female.

For the first month or so I was growing outside. I would usually keep the plant inside at night and take it out every morning and leave it until the sun went down. It got beat up here and there from the weather and from user-mistakes (over watering). But I learned quickly and began taking better care of my baby.

Once I built the grow room the plant soon went into flowering. I can't remember exactly but the plant was somewhere between 1' and 1' 6" when I switched the lights. Also when I switched the lights I had transplanted the plant into a 5 gallon bucket because it was root-bound like a mofo (my bad).

I'm using general household plant fertilizers, so don't expect much. I used an 8-7-6 formula when in vegging and I'm using a 3-10-3 formula right now along with epsom salt and egg shells. Watering 1 gallon every 4-5 days with 3ml of 3-10-3 and a pinch of epsom salt/eggshell.

I also foliar feed the plant as soon as the lights turn on everyday.

I over fertilized the plant about 2 weeks ago which left some of the plant with a mild nutrient burn, but luckily it happened before the buds started coming in (still must not be very good).

I know this wasn't super detailed but I just wanted to get a journal started so I could get some support/input.

How big of a plant does a 5 gallon bucket support? As big as my plant is now (2'3"), will I have to transplant again/soon?

Today is exactly 3 weeks into flowering. I figured it would take another 3-5 weeks for it to be ready to harvest, does that sound right?

*PICS WILL BE UP SOON*

I'm new to bra but I'm on board wit yo grow subscribe to my journal n add me hey I have a question why all the bulbs?? I have one cfl equiv to 300 watts and is 3900 lumens it's more than enough for my 1 little girl that I have growing now
answer to your question is a gallon For every month you keep her goin :)

Girl's looking good. I wouldn't transplant again especially while flowering. Wouldn't want to stress her out now. You should be perfectly fine w/ 5 gal.

Hey man, thanks for replying. I just added you and I'm about to take a look at your journal now. As for your question about all the bulbs: I originally wanted to get a HPS light but that was too expensive, so I decided to go with a decent amount of CFL's considering they don't nearly compare to an HPS.

Alright guys, quick update for you. It's been 3 days since I last posted, my baby is still alive and kicking. She stands 2'5 at the moment. I'll keep you posted.

Looking good my man add bit more nitrogen green em right up...and it's better to start off 5 gallon from the jump unless you commercial

Thanks for the advice, I was noticing a color difference as well. The pics make the plant look more yellow than it really is. When the lights come on today I'm going to top off the space in my bucket with some garden soil and mist the plant. The next time I water I'll add a little bit more veg formula to the solution. Ive been using a old cheap digital camera at the moment, I'm going to see if I can borrow a friends camera so I can get some macro shots and get some more detailed pics.

Oh yea, for sure. Especially when the lights first come on. The aroma helps me sleep at night lol. She's really starting to fill out now, cant wait to see the final results. Updated pics, unfortunately still using the same camera but tried some better lighting.

yea and your plants are way bigger than mines!!! lol height 4-5 inch width 6 inch lol havent started flowering yet will next week moving in my own place this wkd!!! are you still using a high nitrogen fertilizer?

Lol I feel like mine is huge now, I can't wait to see it in a few weeks. But actually I haven't watered the plant since you talked about the nitrogen problem. What I did do is adjust my solution in my spray bottle, I was originally just using a light flowering formula but now I added a veg solution as well so it's a 50/50 mix. Also the pics were taken in better lighting so they look greener anyway. Going to check the soil moisture tonight to see if she needs another watering. Also plan on tying down some branches to open up the canopy. I'll have some new pics up in a few hours.

I really need to get a new camera, this old junker is killing me. Anyways have a few new pics for you guys. Ended up watering her last night 3ml of flowering formula and 1.5ml of veg formula. Tied down a few of the lowest branches. Took pics this morning and she looks green and healthy, she's really starting to smell now . Standing 2'6 tall at the moment.

That lady is looking awesome man. How many bud sites do you count?
And how come you're tying her down? It's not like you've got space restrictions right?

Honestly I haven't really counted how many bud sites there are. And I'm tying her down so light can get to more areas of the plant. The canopy was getting real thick and the buds on the lower part of the plant weren't getting any light.

Well i think shes gonna have a pretty decent yield man.

Okay makes sense. I'm learning.

Alright guys, week 4. Watered her just the other night, been foliar feeding once a day as well. Looking perky and smelling good.

Okay guys, update for everyone. Lady is doing great, still standing 2'6, I don't know if she will get any taller or if she'll just fill out. Watered just the other night with 3.75ml of flowering formula, 1.25ml of veg formula, and 1.25ml of magnesium. If anyone has any suggestions for the next few waterings give me a shout.

The buds are really starting to fill out, the resin glands are starting to show on the leaves in the buds. Also the pistils are starting to change colors at the base of where they grow - looks like a pink/redish color at the moment.

Sorry for the blurry pics, still using this shi* camera.
