StrawBerry Blue 250w Hps Cabinet Grow

RIU Welcome to my First Journal
I will be growing 1
Strawberry Blue and 1 L.a Woman
( i may just grow 2 Strawberry blue's)
I am growing them in a AeroGarden Deluxe Unit (took ag lights off) and will be using a 250w Hps / 2 Cfls (at the sides. untill theres no space for them)
My Grow Cabinet is 49inch in height. 18inch length and 16 inch deep
Lighting Cycle - Veg (20-4hrs) / Flowering (12-12)
Nutes - General Hydroponic Nutes for Veg/ Dutch Master Gold for Flowering
Fans - 2 intakes / 2 outakes outake with carbon filters. 1 fan to blow towards the plants.
Temp - Lights on 80F / Lights off 60F+
PH - 5.6-5.9
Method - LST and Topping
I will be Vegging for 30 days due to the amount of space.

I will Be Updating my Journal Once a Week
Next week i will post pictures of the strawberry blue and L.a Woman germinized

okay okayy.... attitude seed bank... i finally got my seeds today (really happy i am

) so i am going start germinating today. instead of 1 l.a woman and 1 strawberry blue. ima do 2 strawberry blues..... so i can have more control of my grow instead of having 2 different seeds. Okay RIU STAY TUNE

*blush face* hah & thanks for subscribing. here it is all! took 2 days to germ. i threw it in the ag. i am using cfls rightnow so i dont waste so much energy with my hps & burn the bulb. Jan 23 first day Veg . Feb 23 or a week after Feb 23 is when i will switch her to 12-12 here are some pictures !

thanks for subscribing. well nothing new has happend since i put her in so ima giv it a few days. jadee how was riding the mechanical bulll? i never tried that myself never seemed to see any where i am from. haha whats your record for staying on it?

not sure about the record, but i stayed on longer than the rest of the group. ha. my adrenaline got to pumping so hard that i felt like i was going to throw up.lol funny thing is, my pelvis is now back into alignment but now my neck is out. ha ha "ouch"

danggg. your neck must hurt getin tossed around.. well today i wokeup this morning to check on my seeds in the ag there was some slimy white shit all over the spong thing. i changed the spong took out the seeds and put a new spong. iuno wtf it is never happend to me. i know it happend to you jade why does this happen i hav no liight leakage into my res. my first grow wit the ag this didnt happen?

did u put molasses in it? sometimes it the water in the jug sits too long it gets that stuff in it too. (the already mixed nutes and water)

the sponge may have been contaminated too. check around the rim of the pod, could there be light getting in that way?

Bummer you are using the aerogarden....

You would be much MUCH better off making your own DWC system instead of using the aerogarden
You would get better results

no molasses it might be the water in the jug i didint giv it no nutes tho it was jus water sitting. ima giv it nutes when i see it start sprouting ... uhm i changed everything so i think it should be good now, and tom i jus wanted to use a ag see how good it can be. haha uhm anyone know how i can cool my water in the res is there anything to lower temp i can buy?

That rez is tiny, there is no way you keep it cool especially since it is black
I would get some metal repair tape from lowe's and wrap the rez in that to reflect the light so the black color doesn't absorb the light and make the rez heat up

That is your best bet but I doubt that will make the temps as good as they should be, a bigger rez will stay cooler as it will take longer for more water to heat up

water temp might have been to high thats whyi need something to cool it. heres a picture of instead my res 2 6" airstones

don't worry about the temp of the res till the roots reach the water then you can turn the ag pump off and the tank will cool down, a fan in there helps too. (in the grow area not the tank lol)
