Newbies- Read up on this shit so you can learn exactly what Not to do. I probably did it.
But that said, I managed to save em' time and time again.

Here in a few chapters I'll post up what I've done so far with pics until we get all caught up here.

Chapter1- Fire the little buggers into a pot and wait.

And thats exactly what I did after germinating the little guys. We have ourselves some mystery plants on the go. I have no clue what they are!

Feel free to tell me what I'm doin wrong! Any comments welcome.

What kind of light are you using? They look real healthy, but I wouldn't have them sharing a small container like that.

Haha, well this was my first nubie mistake #1. (this list grows on)

I figured, hell, big ass light= big ass plant. Well not so much..if you don't know red from green when it comes to lighting and what plants grow best under....good luck.

I had this big incandescent flood light. And while it provided enough light to get the babies going, they stretched. BIG time. And before you know it they are like 8 inches tall and no leaves. See pictures.:wall:

After that slight blip in the road (a time consuming one), I read all about how not to use incandescents but floresecents (if your goin cheapo like me) and that you should use different heat values 2300k vs. 6500k for budding and veg. respectively, yada yada and so on.

Fast forward to Chapter 3 of my grow, and now we have a grow box and some new lights... yea, the little guys were much happier. To be continued...:bigjoint:

I found out quickly after that putting plants into the same pot might have been ok at first, but wow, what a major pain in the ass once they get to be of any decent size and their roots and all tangled to shit.

Here is the transplant process to my new soil mix. Peat moss, vermiculite and some high quality potting soil with notes. I probably should have added some perlite now looking back on it because the roots aren't getting enough air circulation. Seems the soil stays moist forever though.

My next problem turned out to be a vacation for 2 weeks back home for christmas.. self watering container anyone? Well I thought I jimmy rigged one and .. well I will post the outcome.
