4x Feminized Raspberry Cough - 400w HPS - New to growing

I bought a bag of five feminized Raspberry Cough seeds from Nirvana, all 5 germed but one rogue died on me early on in the seedling phase. Space is not really an issue, and I am looking to maximize yields in whatever way possible using various methods. I am probably going to experiment with LST and topping, and try to keep one as a mother to make some clones.

I'm using Fox Farms Ocean Forest for soil, with their Grow Big and Big Bloom nutes. I have a 400w HPS lamp with a MH conversion bulb for them to veg under, and fans to give them some breeze.

These pics are about 3-4 weeks in, will try to update them every 3 days or so.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Woke up and found the largest one to looking pretty grim. The soil is real dry almost halfway down so I think it is because of under-watering. I have been cautious not to over-water because it killed a couple of my plants during my last, and first grow, so we will see how it goes.

Looking good setup sounds ok,
Just make sure u only water your plants when they realy need it, pick up the pots and if they are at there lightest give them a good drink. then wait until they dry out again.

Day 27

A little water made the droopy guy perk back up, the effect was noticeable within half an hour. I don't really know why the overall growth between the plants is so staggered considering they're all the same strain, and getting the same amount of light and nutes. I am also ordering some auto blueberry and auto ak47 from world wide seeds to spruce up the garden.

Day 40

They seem to be growing extremely fast right now. I transplanted into 5 gallon buckets and will start flowering in about 2 weeks.

One of them is real crooked, anyone know what can I do about this? Also, when should I change from my veg to flower nutes?

Day 46

Big plant is about 14 inches high, the other ones are a little under a foot. The light is still on 18/6 but I noticed what I think are pre-flowers but I am not entirely certain. I am going to start flowering this week.

Thoes are pre-flowers. When they show up and the nodes starts to grow alternately the plant has reached maturity and ready to be flowered.
Going into flowering before the plant showing thoes signs will prolong the flowering phase a bit.

Your plants looks mighty healthy. Keep up the good work.

Flowering Day 4

Switched from the 400 watt MH to a HPS. Plants are growing rapidly, but one of them is still curved and looks pretty weird. Otherwise everything is going good.

Your plants seems to suffer from N deficiency.
Add more N fertilizer to the mix on the next watering.
The chart says you should use 3tsp\gal of Grow Big. If you have been doing that, use 5tsp\gal on your next run and see if you need more.
You should start using some bloom feeding as well. You'll need some high P and K fertilizer. If you stick with Fox Farm it would probably be Tiger Bloom.

Flowering Day 6

Juiced up the nitrogen on the last feeding and added flowering nutes. Plants are growing about 1-2 inches a day with more flowers starting to form. Largest plant a little over two feet, the other two normal ones are catching up quickly and the bizarre one is growing outwards real fast.

Flowering day 13

Plants look good, a little nutrient burn on some of the lower leaves of one of them. Height seems to have peaked, buds are growing at a good rate.

How tall are your plants, could list the hight and how old they are?
IM curious because im looking into the growth paterns, like if i where to veg for 10 weeks then start the flowering cycle. Ive herd this can prolong the flowering time but for a bit more bud id say its worth it.

Right now they are 62 days old from when I dropped the seed in the dirt. The tallest plants are both two and half feet, the next highest is about two and a quarter and the runt is about 1.75 feet. I vegged for about 45 days and they got fairly large, so these might top out at about three feet, however, I am not entirely sure.

Flowering Day 19

Buds are growing nicely.

Flowering Day 21

More bud growth... The plant that originally started off growing larger and faster than all the others has less bud production than the other tall plant. Overall there really isn't that much smell.

A concern I had was whether or not pollen that was released with my last grow from a hermie could pose a real threat to my crop right now. It pretty much destroyed my last grow approximately 2-3 months ago, and all I missed was one, tiny, rice sized sack. Anyone have experience with this?

Flowering Day 24

Buds are really starting to sparkle. They don't not smell a lot though which is surprising. I thought they would be stinking up the whole house by now with four plants but it's barely noticeable in the room the closet is in.

a good rule of thumb for watering is to water when the entire top 1 to 1 1/2 inches of soil are completely dry..
