White Widow and Kushberry 400w!

Well it's been a while since I have been here...I have started yet another grow.

A little bit about the room first..

The room is a 150cubicft (3.2ft wide x 6ft long x 8ft high) walk in closet with the following equipment:

Xtrsasun 400watt HID ballast
6-inch cool tube
400 CFM in-fan
Can filter (don't know the size, but its huge).
FF Ocean Forest Soil w/FF Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom as nutes.

[EDIT] Setup Pics:
I used to have the dresser in the back, but decided to move it up front, that way leaving with better space for the grow. I have the ducting running though my attic and outside. I place the filter on the other side of the cooltube once they start smelling, and it works like a charm...you cant smell anything outside!

Now, for the air intake...well...plenty of air comes in from the bottom and sides of the door. I have a huge gap underneath the door so plenty of fresh air comes in...hell I feel a huge draft when I am inside my closet with the door closed...

The temperatures only rise 2 - 3 degrees with the system on(68 lights off/74-77 lights on)...which is great and will allow me to move my cool tube closer to the canopy.

I hung the fan using two industrial strength bungee cables...no vibration..but it sounds like a jet engine in my closet...but I'm used to it since I have used it for the last couple of grows...

Here are the pics:

Veg: MH, Flower: HPS

Temps stay in the low to mid 70's.

Now on the the beans.

5 GHS White Widow and 5 DNA Kushberry...both fem. Going to keep the best 3 out of each batch, so 3 WW and 3 KB...a total of 6 plants under the HID in 3 gallon pots.

Currently in 16 oz cups, 4 / 5 Kushberrys made it, 5/5 WW's made it. Today is their 3rd day from sprouting:

Thanks messy, i'm liking the setup dude
Are you going to use a carbon filter once flowering comes?

Yea, I'm going to install it around the 5th week of veg. The WW's start to get smelly around that time..don't know about the kb's though. When are you planning to start your kb grow?

Not for a couple months probably, I have a great white shark mother that is giving me clones for my aeroponic unit
When I do start them I will post here though

My seedlings are 5 days old.

White Widow in the back, Kushberry in the front. They are growing well so far. The 400 watt is about 13 inches from the tops, temps at 73 degrees.

I like to keep them as short as I can

15 or so days until they hit veg stage!

Nice to hear from ya war!

Day 7 from sprout
Temps: 72.3 Day, 68 Night
Watering: Tap

They are growing very well and their first "true" leaves are shooting out. I put in a small oscillating fan set on the lowest setting so that the stems harden up a bit. This will also allow better air circulation with the 400 cfm that I have running through the cool tube.

I am keeping an eye out for this White Widow seedling:

It's starting to look like a more indica pheno outa the rest of the WW's...still too early but I can already see some fat leaves coming out.

Here is a group shot:

They all look very happy. I planted them in the cups with soil 1/2 full that way I could back fill them with soil once the initial seedling stretch happened. Works like a charm...they are now at a reasonable height for seedlings. I am going to transplant them to .5 gallon pots next Sunday at day 14. I will leave them in those pots for two weeks, then I will decide which ones I want to keep, then to their final home of 3 gallon square pots.

I am going to start using distilled water next watering, and will start 1/8 strength Grow Big and 1/2 strength Big Bloom FF nutes at day 21 or so. I like to ease the nutrients on them.

Day10 from sprout
Temps: 72.3 Day, 68 Night
Humidity: 65%
Watering: Tap, every 3 days

Great growth...they love their environment! The White Widows are a bit larger than the KB's...that is expected since the KB is a short and stocky plant.

Here is a group shot:

The White Widow (WW1) that I am loving:

This Kushberry (KB1) is looking nice:

I will update again once they are transplanted

Day 16 since sprouting
Temps: 72.3 Day, 68 Night
Humidity: 65%
Watering: Distilled water and 1/4 tsp Big Bloom @ 6.5 pH

They were transferred to 1/2 gallon square pots 3 days ago. They are still doing great. I expect rapid vegetative growth in about 5 days.

You can feed the big bloom at a higher strength, it is way too weak to burn
I have seen people use full strength on seedlings with no problems
When are you planning on adding some grow big to the mix?
