Hello all welcome to my grow.

Technically the growth hasn't started, but my tent is setup and this is my first time doing an online journal, so I thought I'd share the progress I have made.

First allow me explain my setup. I have one 5x5x7 (roughly) Secret Jardin Grow Hut. Total cubic feet is roughly 150.

I have one intake at the bottom of the hut 100 CFM coming in from the cold colorado air, and one outtake out the top at 250 CFM.
Photo13.jpg

Photo14.jpg

inside view of intake

I have two 600w HID's In-Line, and 160 watts of T5 Florescents light
Photo7.jpg

Total Light Wattage: 1360
My goal is to have a full spectrum output, I will be using Sunpulse's Pulse Start Metal Halide's, one in 3000k Spectrum, one it 4000k Spectrum and the Fluorescents will be 80 watts of 6,400k and 80 watts 10,000k. So that will be my full spectrum goal :blsmoke:

I have two 2' x 4' Botanicare Grow Trays, making it 16 square feet of utilized grow space.
Photo8.jpg

I will be building a waist high stand out of 4x4's and 2x4's for the trays so they will be at a perfect watering and run-off level. I might have one tray lower than the other for more stretching strains. There will be 16 plants (1 per square foot durr) Strains are as follows: 4 Toejam (Cheese x DJ Short's Flo) 4 Big Buds (skunk x afghani) 4 God's Gift (Grandaddy Purps x OG Kush) and 4 Cindy 99's.

My growing media will be completely Soil-Less, this is also my first time attempting this, I have always grown in soil. My Formula will be as follows:
1/3 Canna Coco
Photo11.jpg

1/3 Roots Organics Soil-Less Coco Mix
Photo10.jpg

1/3 Hydroton
Photo9.jpg

The makeup of my Soil-Less will allow for 3-4 days between watering, so it is a nice Hydro Setup close to my Soil days.
Also, I will not be growing in conventional plastic pots I will be growing in Smart-Pots!
Photo5.jpg

These things are freakin awesome, and help prevent your roots from spiraling!

I have a 20 gallon CO2 tank with a simple but effective regulator.
Photo12.jpg

This will be controlled by my Environmental Controller
Photo32.jpg

This will also control my intake and outtake based on temperature and humidity, when the intake/outtake is off the CO2 is on, when the fans turn on the CO2 turns off, it's pretty primitive I know, but it does the job.

For nutes I'm on the Humboldt Nutrients Master A&B 2-part, It isn't OMRI certified but is the cleanest chelated substance I have been able to find, no EDTA's, it is only Amino Chelated which is quite different.

A few extras include my hygro-digital Thermometer
Photo17.jpg

And my Oakton PPM/PH/Temp Tester, which is on its way from my latest Ebay purchase.

Also, my two 600 watt liights will be inline ducted out of my window with a 250 CFM fan, and my outtake of my hut will be blown in to the spare bedroom the hut is in, i will be purchasing a carbon filter when it is necessary.

Thanks for checkin out the beginning of my journal, I'm extremely excited. Please give me any input you may have I need to hear it!

Nutes will be mixed in a 20 gallon reservoir non recirculating, I have a Koralia Nano (240 gph) blower mixing the nutes and a nice air pump with air stone in the reservoir, I will be using a submersible pump at about 120 gph hooked up to my water wand, i counted 30 seconds to fill a gallon jug, so I count to 30 over every plant for watering, giving them one gallon each.

New updates:
So I built my raised beds last night, got some pics taken and its lookin pretty nice. Real sturdy, no problem holding the weight.
Photo35.jpg

4x4's as legs and 2x4's as crossbracing. the legs are 20 inches and the 2x4's on top make it 24 inches all.
Photo31.jpg

It should be a perfect distance from the light to allow the clones to come in and not be stressed by the lights, but be able to grow up and get nice and big before maxing out.
Photo16.jpg

5 Gallon buckets will fit nicely underneath to catch all run-off.
Photo19.jpg

Let me know what you think, I am confident in all of it so far. Thanks -Shrubs

Got my 250 CFM (or so it claims) inline fan from home depot today, it was a cheap one, roughly 35 dollars (which they forgot to charge me for) so i got it for free, definitely worth it, Its hooked up on the outside of the tent sucking through both of the lights, I will buy another since this one was free and stick it on the other side so that I have one pushing and one pulling through.... twice the efficiency, half the price!

Update:

Potted my plants, I ran out of hydroton on the last freakin plant, so I gotta wait until wednesday to get her in there, which almost works out well because I am getting my next 8 clones in on the same day. more pics

Can't wait to see it with 16 plants rather than just 8!

I also installed a backdraft damper on my intake to cut off the air when my intake isn't on. I was still gettin a breeze even when it wasn't on. So a 6 inch spring loaded back damper fixed the problem perfectly.

UPDATE:
Filled it up today, HELL YEA! Got 16 little ladies all potted, and just fed them their week one feeding, did a light feeding at 350 PPM, and 6.1 PH water. A couple are still drooping maybe some peeps can give some feedback?

16 ladies..I know its not as bright on one side, I need to replace the other bulb, it will happen in the next day or so...

So it didnt work out how I planned with the 4 of each strain... I have 3 Toejams, 4 White Widdows, 3 Cindy 99, 3 Big Bud, 1 Purps, 1 AK-47, and 1 Jock Horror...

Give me some Feedback! Anybody...?

After a week one feeding, the drooping is gone, and growth has sped up, More pics with my week 2 feeding in 5 days.

Updates:
pretty much puttin the finishing touches on the project.. Let me know how you like this shit.

Reservoir supplies:

1500 GPH Ecoplus Submersible pump
Photo53.jpg

Korlia Nano (240 gph) to keep the nutes suspended and mixed in the res:
Photo54.jpg

Nice air pump, hooked to 2 airstones keepin it nice and oxygenated:
Photo55.jpg

Grabbed 2 12inch Oscillating Airkings and bolted them to 2x4's and placed them in seperate corners. one is also raised higher than the other in order to move air on all levels:
Photo47.jpg

The full feeding setup, a waterwand with a 50 foot coiled hose hooked up to the Eco Pump, works way too easily:

A blurry bubble shot of the res:

My Local Hydro Store is out of the Sunpulse Bulb i need and refuse to buy another brand so my buddy is letting me use his backup HPS until my store is back in stock but here it is fully lit up!

LOL Thanks for the input??? I'm pretty sure they aren't droopy, because they are different strains none of them will look exactly alike, there are seven different strains.... and Big Bud? You're talking about Dr. Hornby's, I dont use Advanced Nutes, they use EDTA's and it isn't very clean... I'll post some more pics here shortly..
