here we go, finally got pics. n startin my journal up, here i have 2 bagseed, im takin it ones indica an ones sativa which is funnny cuz its the same seeds out of the same bag of pot, lol, but any who, the tall one is Big Baby, an the short one is K-9, i vegged them unknown amount of time but i say around 2 months maybe a lil less, they've been in flower since June29th so its like this

K-9 - 10 Days

250 watt hps(getting some cfls for side light)
MG Nuts.

MG Organic Mix

what i wanna know is the bottom of Big Baby the leafs are dying out cuz of lack of light? u see what im workin with im in a 2nd floor 3 story apartment building, lookin good temps r a lil high, any ideas on how i could vent this closet its 2 ft. deep, 4 feet wide and 8 ft tall

It's pretty common to have both pheno's from 1 bag

Nice op gonna have to keep an eye on the thread

I'll let someone else hop in and answer the yellow leaves that are falling off the plant (someone who may know exacts, i can only speculate)

How big is big baby exactly?

If she's taller than 3-4 ft, then it's more than likely due to light. In the 4th pic (I'm assuming that's big baby), you can see where the light penetration literally dies out. Note the bottom half is stretching for light and isn't very bushy, and the top is bushy and healthy. This would lead me to believe it's going to be a light penetration issue rather than a Nitrogen deficiency.

The only idea I came up with, with a closet like that is to go to Home depot or Lowe's and get yourself new closet doors, and have at it with a drill saw, just make sure to have intake on the bottom and outtake on the top, of course opposite sides of the closet. You can use dryer ducting for ventilation ducting, and either can fans or vortex fans for intake and outtake.

You can also always make a ghetto AC too, as well as carbon filter. Hope this helps.

ok yea shes grew 8 inchs! in 14 days its crazy id have to say shes 46 inchs so right under 4 ft. my original plans was a grow box but i know she would of out grew the grow box lol, but lack of light is what i thought to, thanks doob, i willl be headin to home depot, there bout to get a pretty penny out of me. Def. gonna invest in some CFL's, and Fans and Carbon this week, once she started budding tho. i see progress daily

Oh yeah dude, she'll start taking off in about a week probably. The bloom stage is definitely the more exciting part of the plant's life cycle, that's for sure, first time growing or not lol.

Also no problem dude, keep me updated on your progress, and I'll check here from time to time also.

yo skrypts you shuould bend that gurl over with some extreme lst, and trim anything else that is to tall the give her a few days to get on her feet then flip it to flower.... that will solve your light penertration

The plants have been in flower since June 29th, any LST or HST methods of training would probably herm the plant. The only training I do for 1-2 weeks into flower is pinching, just to get that canopy a little more even.

For Veg though, that'd be great, or SCRoG even.

man...........are you ever gonna have issuse, you are deffinatly gonna run outta room, you really should do some clipping, like buddy said earlyer, and tie the top down a bit, I'm not joking here bud, a plant like that will grow 1/3 of it's size, no joke, looking nice though later, happy growing

You can either just pinch the meristem and basically let the lower branches catch up, in the end you will have a menorah looking bush going on lol. Or you can pinch then, bring the top down if it's too tall and let it heal/grow back even with the rest.

yea big baby is as tall as me now, an k-9 is gaining on BB everyday lol, its crazy how big these things r gettin, when u grow outside its nuthin lke growin inside, at least look wise, but pinching i dont understand, kind of like topping doob? also if i tie back my fan leaves with fishing string to let the light get deeper will it hurt the plant? also i got seven dust for insect control, the powder form, didnt relize bout the liquid till i got home, but if this gets in soil will it hurt my plants? also i seen some organic pest control, looks pretty good...whats a good pest control?

If you pinch the meristem/main stalk yes, it's very similar to topping results wise. If you pinch branches off of the main stalk, not so much really, it'll extend them a bit and make them stronger but won't be the same as if you had pinched the main stalk really.

No fishing line, it'll cut the plant. Use those twist ties on bread bags, or the old school trash bag twist ties. You can also use those arts and crafts pipe cleaners, or even a coated copper audio wire.

Depends on the pest really.... What pests are you having problems with? I wouldn't use sevin/seven dust though, especially if you're in flower.

okay i think i got what ur sayin, gone give it a try, cuz BB is gettn outta hand haha. sumthin showin downon my leaves, they have brownish but clear lookin spots on the leafs, like sum eattin its layers, but gnats an white bugs in the soil, im gettn sand 2day for the soil, just worried bout the plant itself...

Lol yeah BB is probably goin' wild, if you have it in a 5 gallon pot, you're looking at 5-6 feet, it's usually about a foot per gallon.

It could be the gnats but doubtful, get a microscope and check the under side of your leaves. Check for Thrips and Spidermites, do it ASAP because those 2 pests are really damaging to plants. If it's the gnats the sand should help, also lighten up on the watering a little bit, gnats like moist soil to lay their eggs in. Also get some sticky traps to catch the adults.

damn yea im fixin to raise my light again...ridiculous, i go some side lighting just need a way to rig it up, i got 4 23 watt cfls an a 42 watt, how could i rig these up ?

The way I do it, is get a power strip, a bunch of Y adapters for lights, get some socket to outlet adapters, put it all together, and either hang them or find a way to mount them to the side walls.

All the materials can be found at Walmart, although sometimes they run out of the adapters.

yea i went to home depot i seen the same thing same idea i had haha good lookin out doob, and do i need the 6200k (or w/e) with these 2700k? spent alot of unnecc. mney on things this week, do u mix molasses with the reg. nurtients u put in to or in its own bottle? i dont know if this is what you meant but i pinched the top bud piece off the main stem, lil chunk i dried it an smoked it lol but there lookin good, what exactly does the molasses do for the plant?

You can do a mix and match, I do personally for the mixed spectrum, but with just the 2700k would be alright as well. You just pinch the main stem until you feel a little pop, hold the stem like a joint, between your thumb and pointer finger, slowly and gently pinch until you feel a pop. If you removed a bud it was too hard, and pinch the main stalk.

Molasses has Calcium, Magnesium, Iron as well as other goodies like natural sugars. The ingredient's like Cal, Mag and Iron create bud swells and more development, the sugars create natural bacterias in the soil which the plant utilizes, making it sweeter and more developed. I always use a new jug for my plant's every time I water. My watering schedule is nutrients with molasses half a gallon per plant, 3 days no watering, then molasses with nutes half gallon per plant, 3 days no watering, and repeat. I use 2 tablespoons when I use it with nutrients, 3-4 without nutrients.

Make sure you get UNSULPHURED molasses, I use Grandma's because it's a pretty common brand and can be found easily at a local grocery store like Walmart or whatever.
