parkercky's First Grow (Organic Afghan)

Hey guys I have decided to create a journal of my first grow, which is 5 Afghans. I started them inside but they are now outdoors enjoying all the benefits. I am going to try and make this grow as organic as possible, from the soil to the nutrients. They are around 3 feet now but I will post some pics up until this point and then keep posting my progress. Please anyone who has tips, information, or whatever leave some comments, I will make use of it. Here are some pictures from beginning until yesterday.
My soil is 1/2 organic top soil mixed with 1/2 org. sheep manure. For nutrients I am using org. fish emulsion, M.G org. plant/veg food, and filtered drilled well water.
I am also using the FIMing technique, thanks to M Blaze's guides. Have only used once so far (yesterday). I will focus some pics on that as well.

New pics comming tonight, I will have close ups of the stalk thickness and where I performed the FIM a couple days ago. How much water do you guys think I should give each plant at a time and how often?

Any guess's on how much I will get from these 5 plants???
They are all about 2-3 feet tall (afghans from nirvana-shop.com) and pretty bushy and have stalks about the size of a highlighter. They also have 2 months left until the end of August/ early September which I guess will be the harvesting time.

Some pics as of tonight, we have been getting a lot of rain lately so my soil is damp and they are a little saggy... damn sun. In some of the pics you can see where I FIMmed some but I am not even sure if this technique is necessary outdoors? The new shoots that are comming out of the colas have really multipled compared to what was comming out before. Take a look, please leave comments/ advice.

Every plant is in five gals now, I cut the container in half, lifted out the plant and roots (which held everything together) and planted on soil, then filled in the sides. This felt like a minimal stress job on the plants. I couldn't believe the root structure, they took the form of the container. One was the shape on an octagon lol. Snapped a pic to post later.

I am in need of some HELP. Some of my fan leaves are getting huge and it seems like on certain plants the stem almost cannot support the weight of the leaf. I watered them strait water last night for the first time in 3 days last night and they seemed to have accepted it well. It made the leaves not so droopy on them. I just tested my ph of my water and realized that it is around 7.5 ( I thought it was neutral) so I def need to ph down before I water right? I think I should be aiming for 6.5-6.8?
Any suggestions on how to increase stem and leaf rigidity while keeping it as all natural as possible? I think I am going to make a tea soon any suggestions? Sorry for all the questions but I have one more, what is the best way to foilage feed and with what? I am currently using water, org fish emulsion, and org black earth, and sheep manure mixed in.

I got some nutrients at a local hydroponics store today. I went in looking for bat guano and worm castings to make a tea and they showed me something called PURE BLEND by BOTANICARE. The bat guano by itself was like 45 bucks yikes. This Pure Blend I got has Seabird guano, Bat guano, earthworm castings, fish meal, kelp and Humic acid. This was all stuff I heard positive stuff about, and they said BOTANICARE is really good product line, so I thats why I got it. Any experiences with this stuff anyone?

Nice looking grow, plants look nice and healthy. Thanks for the rep in your other thread also. Wow, just freaked at cost of your bat guano. Do you have access to cow or horse manure? Its cheap....lol and does a good job. Look forward to following your progress:bigjoint:

I have sheep manure already mixed because it has a low NPK rating and it is also very clean. I didn't buy the guano but I did buy the product above which does include it and many others. Thanks for the compliments and your grow is looking sweet as well, keep it up.

Sheep manure is great I haven't had access to that since my grandmother sold her farm. I will be interested in how the bottle stuff does, I have never used any of that type stuff. Living in Costa Rica we don't get much of that type of stuff down here, but its made me better at building my soil and teas. Definitely subscribing to your journal so I can follow along.....oh I did get the new pics up this morning ......Good Luck
