Hello everyone,

This thread is to boil down my original grow journal into something more condensed. If you would like more details on anything, or would like to ask me a question please visit my other journal, it is this journal plus so much more. You can also pm me for questions, but usually it will help others to ask on the thread.

I have turned my 2x3 closet into paradise. I has cost me about $3,000 and will cost another few hundred before I am all done.

I am using Dutch Master nutrients. Advance Grow and Flower, Max Grow and Flower, Potash+, Silica, Zone. I am also spraying with Dutch Master Liquid Light and Gold Penetrator. I am using RO water, so I add Cal-Mag, using Technaflora MagiCal then Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus. For ph adjustment I have General Hydroponics up and down solution. For the final month of flowering I am using a flower sweetener, I'm using General Hydroponics FloraNectar Pineapple Rush. I am also going to use Humboldt County's Own Gravity, it's a flower hardener. I will use that 3 weeks before harvest.

My DWC is ~30 gallons. I have two 6" airstones on the bottom of the reservoir and 6 - 1" airstones suspended directly below each plant. I have two airpumps going to all that. I never let the water get below the 25 gallon mark.

I'm using a Hanna Combo GrowChek - pH, ppm, temp. meter. It stays in the reservoir all the time.

I have two small fans circulating air in the room, they are positioned under the canopy and get moved every couple days.

Lighting was 400w mh during veg. 430w hps and 250w mh during flowering. I actually only had the 430w for the first week and a half of flowering, and so half the room is taller than the other (as the hps was positioned to one side). I'll do that better next grow. I made my own enclosure.... here is the LINK

I have a 435 cfm 6" inline fan to cool the lights. There is a 100 cfm fan to exhaust the room air overnight (for humidity reasons, fresh air too).

As I said before I have a 30 gal rez that I keep between the 25 gal marker and full at all times (unless draining). I have been draining the water every 7-8 days throughout.

I vegged the plants for 4 weeks. They were clones with some roots already so I gave them some nutrients right off, and slowly increased. I have followed Dutch Master's schedule for feeing amount. I believe 1300 ppm is what I got up to in veg. I am now up topping out at 2000 ppm and won't let it get higher than that. I add 250 mL of FloraNectar to the mix each weed for the final 4 weeks. 3 weeks before harvest I am going to use gravity for that week only, check the updates to see the usage. I will do only water and FloraNectar the final 2 weeks before harvest.

When I do rez changes, I have a water pump submerged that I plug in. I attach a hose to the tank and the water drains to my bathtub. I then fill the tank with about 22 gal. I then very slowly add the nutes.

My procedure is this: Main nutes say I need 500 mL of. I will mix 100 mL at a time with 1 L RO water, then add that to my rez. Repeating till done with main nutes. For the additive I only need between 30 and 150 mL. I measure then divide 2 or 3 times each with 1 L RO water until I am done. I have already diluted my pH down solution to 30 % so I don't need to mix when I use. Whatever extra water I need to fill up, I add. Then when I top off I have been adding a little less than the full strength ratio. So if I top off with 3 gal of water and that would be 50 mL of nutes, I add around 30 mL. I only add extra main nutes and extra Cal- Mag when topping off, no additives.

pH I keep between 5.75 and 5.80

Water temp stays below 65 F. Average around 63.
