Closet CFL Grow.

Hi folks. im starting a journal for this grow. working in my closet 8x6ft. started soakin seedlings on april fools day, i have 11 sprouts, 4 slow seeds that havent sprouted, and 4 more soaking to replace the slow ones if they fail.

gonna be doing 18/6 in soil. veg for 4-6 weeks and then switch to 12 12. gonna use foxfam soil for the most part but they are in fafard+vermiculite now.

finally got my exhaust in, and my big light. waiting on a sheet of carbon filter to finish it. things are goin smooth so far.

things are still good. i have my carbon filter installed and my light is fully opperational. transplanted tonight, took a while to transplant over a dozen plants.

temps have been pretty good, maxing out at 90 or so. that was before i installed all the new and the exhaust. im running 13 26watt6000k temp, 4,26 & 2,42 watt @ 3000k.

posting a few pics of the new setup and my sprouted herbs.

What are you going to transplant them to when they get a little bigger? And is this thing in your closet seriously? What advice do you have about closet CFL growing because I am growing good reggie in my closet...?

ive got some bigger pots im gonna put em in later. when they start preflowering imma weed out the males and the weaker plants down to 6 plants at most i think. and yes its in my closet

its was a motherfucker getting it all installed, its a walkin closet but still, the light is quite large. and its a bit cramped in there as well. hrm cfl advice. keep em close as you can. no more than 3 inches if you can. dont veg for over 2 months with cfls unless your scrog'n or some other lst technique. i will be starting as soon as i get signs of sex. i may even induce flowering early. maybe get the buds for less book. its got tons of usefull info in it. if you have any specific questions about my set up or anything ill try to help.

if your curious heres a quick show of the light being created. im not using the floro U tubes yet. and only using 4 of the normal light sockets.

things are goin fairly smooth. some small heat issues, up to 92 one day and 99 for a short time one day. now ive got the ac on and its 80-85 or less.

i have 12 plants now, a little over 3 weeks old. here are some pics.

i just started with nuts. tonight. gave them a nice bat guano tea.

fimmed 10 out of 12 plants tonight. i may leave the other 2 growing normally i dont know yet.

added a few more lights, 568 watts now. i think im going to give them 2 weeks and flower, depends on their size.

probably gonna get a 400 watt hps for flower.

Things have been going smoothly. i removed one of the plants to experiment outdoors. plants are 6 weeks from start of germination.

i was REALLY hoping to see preflowers by now, but as it is i have seen none. i would like to id the males and axe them. then repot up to final pot size. ill be keeping an eye out for sex anyday.

i have one giant plant the other i took outside was bigger than the rest as well. i think those 2 must have been the 2 seeds i cracked from a seperate strain.

4 clones were taken tonight of plants 1 and 3, clones from1 are in rockwool with cloning powder. testing out the basic water cloning method with the other 2. just cut and right into water. both are in makeshift humidity domes (my 2 crockpots)

here are some pics of all but the clones.

ill get some of those later. these are from earlier today. i am trying to get my hands on a hps light for flowering. we will see how that goes.

well, water cloning isnt as simple as i first thought. one i started has already failed completely. the other is hanging on by a thread. i think i know where i went wrong. so i am gonna try again later.

on a good note. the other 2 look great so far.

still no pics. ill have some soon maybe.

after six weeks of veg, finally there are preflowers. while dosing out nuts i checked plant number C, and after extensive searching found the first fem. preflower.

this is great. now i can repot, and weed out the males that im sure ill be finding soon. another week or so till i can switch to 12 12 i think.

i will be taking new clones from plant C soon. probably rockwool. as ive had problems with water.

here are some new pics. of plant C the fem, and plant 2 the giant. also of the 3 remaining clones. and a close up of the preflower, its blurry but its there.

well still no more preflowers, im getting antsy. and the clones are doing good as far as i can tell. if i havent seen any preflowers by the first im gonna switch to 12/12.

checked for signs after lights came on and i finally have more. plants 1 5 6 are fem for sure. im 90% sure 9 is as well. now 5/11 for fems if 9 is as i think. with no males :hump:

now just to wait out the rest. twiddle twiddle.

repotted all 4 new girls. moved the light up some. heres a pic of the group as of now. it doesnt really look like 11 plants but i guess its cuz its from the front.

i cut more clones tonight. cuz tomorrow i will be switching to 12 12. so its now or never really. got another small set up goin.

still no more preflowers but they will show VERY soon...

ok ive been having issues. low soil ph. and water ph i am correcting this

i flushed with 6.3 water and im watering with about 7.5 to get run off at about 6 even maybe a little less. using weak flower ferts. 10 30 20 for now. its got fair amounts of trace elements in it too. stuff i need.

does anyone have thoughts on using epsom salt i hear it helps with manganes and mag def. which im suffering from. anyone?

my problem with my lower leaves dying is getting worse. i have some pics of them here. and the pile of dead fan leaves ive been keeping to let me know how bad things are. its steadily growing. some healthy leaves fall off or are very easily knocked/pulled off.

i could use some more ideas of anything to do to fix it. low end ph nute lockout caused it i think... i think i have that fixxed but they still seem to be progressing.

they werent over nut'd before for sure. some a showing a hint of it now since ive been trying to get nuts in after the flush.

so here are my 4 "successfull" clones. and a few still cookin up in the crock pots. for the record i do no like watercloning. ill stick with rockwool

and theres the new light. going up in about 5 hours.
