multiple strains, closets, setups...

my purpose with this thread is to keep track in a centralized place of my multiple closets, plant strains, and setups. keeping paperwork, or pictures, or some kind of history on each plant is kind of a necessary pain if we want to do things right. right? keeping a grow journal for each plant is very difficult for me because i have lots of shit going on in 3 places. i'm just gonna keep a perpetual journal of my continuous growing cycles, kind of an "organic" thing that grows by it's own rules. posts will mostly be photographic with details of each situation.

if anyone has questions or answers about particular strains or conditions please feel free to post/ask/comment.

hopefully i won't be posting photos of old grows, only pictures from today forward. so... the beginning... today's pictures...

the 1st four pics are of a plant that was LST'ed... it dies today because it was male...
the next 2 are of the top of a G13 Power Skunk that got WAY too tall, so i topped it during flowering and cloned it into what you see here...
the last pic is my veg closet after some rearranging that was done this afternoon. this closet contains my tomatoes, peppers, and spices that are vegging until the cold goes away, as well as our favorite weed...

so am getting 4 more clones (8 total) from my beautiful baby girl before i let her flower. probably put her on 12/12 next week, wanna let her recover a bit first even though she seems very able to handle my abuse.
pics 1 & 2 - mom before today's cuts
pics 3 & 4 - after cutting
pic 5 - her newest babies at birth
pics 6 & 7 - the clones and their dome (top 4 are from this same mom, cut 5 days ago, roots seem to be taking hold... middle 2 are from a girl 2 weeks in flower, just bottom trimmings i thought i could make something of instead of throwing away, cut 2 days ago... bottom 4 are today's new cuttings)

oh yeah, please let me know if my cloning technique looks good. also, any other tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated. especially if you notice i've done something horribly wrong... thanks.

after getting 8 cuttings from her and letting her chill out for the last 3 days, i'm finally putting momma into flower and a bigger 3 gallon pot from her 1 gallon deal. have to put her into my small CFL closet because the 400w room is too full until i cut the power skunk down, which will be another week or two...

today i'm moving 6 clones from their temporary cubes/cups into one gallon pots for vegging. the 2 smallest clones are in cups and look weak. i don't have great hope for 'em, they were actually an experiment from some bottom cuttings. the other 4 are the first 4 taken from the mom i just started flowering.
the 2 small clones were cut 08 mar 09, other 4 were cut 22 mar 09.

pic 1: what i started with
pic 2: the 6 clones before
pic 3: the 4 good clones after transfer
pic 4: everyone back in the veg closet (my tomatoes, peppers, and spices now occupy the big clone dome as well as 6 other mj clones)

the cfl flowering closet... which i have questions about...

pic 1: all 4 girls
pics 2-5: momma of 8, here's the question... is this a hermie? she has white hairs, but big bulbs alongside where they are coming from. what the hell? i've only been growing seriously for 6 months or so, have never seen a hermie, and am hoping this isn't a freak.

apparently i was wrong about the plant i called "momma", when i put it into 12/12 it turned into a male, which caused me to kill the clones i was going to use from it. two clones i made from my flowering afghan plant have taken root though. i had looked 2 days ago for roots on these small little things, didn't see anything. today i noticed a root coming from one, then looked closer and both had roots shooting out everywhere. these were put into 1 gallon pots to veg today, you can see below.

i'm pretty sure about the kush and afghan strains. the seeds came from a nirvana variety pack of 10, but were just mixed into one pack. both plants are short and bushy, but why i think the one is afghan is because of it's huge fan leaves. if anyone can positively call one or the other it would be much appreciated.

ordered flying dutchmen's "dutch delight" feminized seeds last week, received the package in 9 days. received a "skunk #1" femmmed seed as a bonus, and 5 "thai skunk" regular seeds also. gotta love the attitude, 2 orders and no probs.

anyhoo, started germing the 5 DD and the S1 on arrival. they all cracked and are growing roots in soil cups as i write. can't wait to see 'em all pop up and start growing.

my veg closet is starting to fill up again. in all there are 11 clones going, 4 fresh bagseed seedlings, and the 6 new germies. good thing my flower closet is emptying again, all these plants will have to go somewhere.

because i've started a new grow with 5 "dutch delight" and 1 "skunk #1" seeds, i've decided to put the 4 bagseed plants outside as an experiment. the pictures here show a bit of the transplanting in process. these plants are going from a closet that stays at 80F to an outside world with a high of 64F today. the low tonight will be around 44F. my experiment is to see what happens with their growth, vigor, and survivability.

the really tiny plant that was in a jiffy plug and the 2 smaller plants from 16 oz. plastic cups were put into a 22 gallon bucket. (i know multiple plants into a single bucket is bad but, as i said it's an experiment. any positive results are bonuses...) the biggest of the 16 oz. plants is in the garden next to some peppers.

3 of the DDs and the S1 are sprouting. purchasing seeds with good genes seems to be working well so far. sacrificing the bagseeds for more room in the veg closet is the right idea for my grow space, plus seeing these seemingly healthy plants grow outdoors will be interesting...

enjoy the pics!
