Thanks all. I bought the light. At the store I put my hand on the bottom of the ballast enclosure - it was only warm to the touch. I'll post pics tonight.:mrgreen:

once again, I have two of these. I would not recommend going a 3x3 tent, and would pick up a 2.7x2.7 tent. only thing I would use it for in a 3x3 is a SCROG. the PAR starts getting too low the higher you need to pull it, and then your dipping under 500 PAR, which I would think is below standard. some guy over at IC was using them in a 3x3, but he didn't show much pics and I know he went on to use his LED for side lighting, which tells me he wasn't happy with the performance in a 3x3. look at rives grow over at IC, he used a 2.7x2.7 area in a 3x3 tent I believe. also what's better then a tent built perfect for this light. there's another dude using one in that exact tent size, and you'll be shocked at the size of his colas. your setups, I'm just warning you, in everything I know, I would only use a 3x3 for veg wit the 942.
Thanks for all the info. I figure a 4x4 ought to handle two of them well enough. I agree one is not enough alone.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be journaling the grow in the CO mmj section. The link is in my sig if anyone wants to check in a couple of months. I rearranged my lights. I now have 360 watts in HO T5s, 260 plug watts (480 theoretical watts) of LEDs and 315 watts of CMH. So, ~935 watts over 16 sqft.... 58 w/sqft. And I'm thinking seriously about adding another CMH at bloom. I love the color, looks like real sunlight. I'm only running my 6" HO Can fan/filter at 50% and temps are staying under 80. Temps went up about 2 deg F after removing the 8 bulb T5 and putting in the CMH.

Here's some pics for you all. I really like the lights. I'm at 4.5 weeks of flower. I've had some issues with nutes and the Blumats, but the plants that I haven't sabotaged with my noob skills are looking to produce heavy. I've got two of the 315w fixtures over a 4x3 area.....

Hi all,

I researched but could find next to nothing about these lights. Is anyone running them? I saw one set up in a 4x4 at my local WTG yesterday. Looked like a 600w HPS only a whiter light. Intensity felt nice on the back of my hand a couple of feet below the fixture. Dude at the store said he had a buddy using them and doing well........

Heres the draw for me... very little heat load. The ballast is internal to the unit even and there seems to be less heat than from an 8 bulb T5. I just upgraded my grow area to a 4x4 tent and my (3) 240w LEDs seem lost in there. I'm thinking of getting one of these and using the LEDs around the perimeter.... would be nice to know if they actually grow weed before I drop the $500.

Thanks again for any assistance.

whats better the 315 lec, the rocket plasma or the avanced ds200xte or the apachetech at200? im growing on a small space and stealth is a must, and heat must be easily controlled... also i want to expand to a 3x6 area in the future but i dont want to have to buy two bigger lights

If heat is your biggest issue go with the lowest power draw/highest efficiency ====== at 200(top-bin nichia cw 250lm+/w)

IDK how loud the fans are in the at200 though.........maybe gg/puff can vouch for the "stealtyness" of it????????

or DIY cree cxa cobs if your handy

rocket plasma is a no IMO due to the 3000-3500 hr bulb used.........lol............also we don't know the bins on the DS 200xte, so that's out too until proven otherwise.

lec is great , but 315w+ ballast is allot of wattage to deal with in a small space?..........what are your actual dimensions btw???
