I agree with you NorthernMi. This gives opponents of the medical marijuana law ammunition to paint all of us in a bad light.
 
Exactly. I hate seeing people get in trouble over a plant, but when you have IEDs an weapons you get what you deserve. I'm not against guns or blowing shit up but fuck man these guys went way overboard.
 
It sounds bad but just remember the cops are the ones that gave out this info.

I just read this one, he came off really good. Hopefully it was not a result of "cooperation" shiit I got 3 years for about 633 less pounds 10+ years ago.

FLINT, MI -- A Flint man was sentenced to more than two years in federal prison after authorities discovered 28 bales of marijuana inside a Swartz Creek storage unit. Rickey Edmund Raleigh, 32, was sentenced Wednesday, June 26, in Flint U.S. District Court by District Judge Mark A. Goldsmith to two years, six months in federal prison for aiding and abetting the possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Federal authorities claim that Raleigh was a part of a conspiracy that distributed more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana around the Flint area, according to court records.
Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on a storage locker unit at Bee Safe Storage, 6363 Lennon Road, and discovered three wardrobe boxes containing marijuana.
Records show authorities discovered 28 bales of marijuana that weighed approximately 322 kilograms.
Raleigh admitted to helping others involved in the conspiracy move the marijuana-filled boxes from houses in Flint to the storage unit.
Goldsmith also sentenced Raleigh to serve four years of supervised release.

only logic i can find is these guys got some inside info that zombies love weed and they were just trying to be ready.......

Honestly if these guys are STUPID ENOUGH TO HAVE 57K ROUNDS OF AMMO laying around then they are probably dumb enough to try to throw some IED's together too.

I hate to say it but as long as all the info is legit GJ Leo's this is where they need to be concentrating their efforts. I believe this is a case of "O ANNNNDD they had some weed"



 
I pretty interested in the makeup of these (25) IEDs, but more so in what their intent for creation, possession and possible uses.
 
As an ex military im curious about this as well could have been home made M-80s curious to see the names attached to the arrest.

They never let the truth get in the way of a good headline. If you get an order to shut down your business and decide to
say f'em you may want to get some shiit out of your house though.
 
Personally I hope the term IED would not be used lightly by LEO. The fact that (25) said devices were seized would lessen the chances of misunderstanding and/or ignorance of LEO as well. Given the slight delay in release of this info makes me think EOD and/or the Feds have confirmed and secured their find.
 
Just more yellow journalism and support by LEO . I believe they were probably nothing but fireworks and a shit load of ammo that may have just been a possible smart cash investment . I too will never believe a word out of a cops mouth , I was schooled by a retired Flint officer about the corruption , power and egotistical games played by leo well before I started smoking luckily . I owe more than I can say to this gentleman but I do believe he has passed from alcoholism and Police PTS but I am sure he too pissed off the great commander in the sky lol
 
Not being found at the dispensaries... ya these guys are sensationalizing their find for headlines... last time i give em the benefit of the doubt i suppose. 57k between 3 HOUSES isn't that many. 57k stockpiled at your place of business' thats another story. I can't find ANY info on the IED's, NONE what so ever except a few different numbers on how many found. anyone else find the makeup of these yet?

I was told once by a Lawyer that if Leo's perform a raid on someone and find an old antique musket rusted all to shit stuffed in a locker locked and burried in dust in the attic they are going to tie it to the raid for bargaining chips later on. Possession of a fire arm while in commission of a felony is a nifty charge. 2 years MIN no plea time at all IN FED PRISON (that usually have work programs :wall:) and the 2 years STACKS on to anything else, you can't serve consecutive sentences. I suppose we will see just how much these guys got to fork over for fines and lawyers and that will determine how much time they do..... seems fair doesn't it....

Gotta wonder tho they say they have them on selling to non patients. Sell to a narc strait up knowing they weren't a patient? or forged paper work that got missed? or their just comin in cause its a dispensary?
 
sorry but these pigs found someones home made fireworks and decided it makes a better story to say they were related to their businesses. this is a joke and don't be fooled by their bs. come on people. and lots of people have bought up ammo..........lots. probably got a great deal on it...thank your president for the need to buy in bulk
