Works fine, may burn young ones a bit but you will not need nutes for awhile.

I think MG is okay for newer growers as you don't to add anything for a few months (besides perlite). The only thing is that new growers always wanna be doing something...adding nutes, watering....and that gives MG a bad name. Don't use it personally...but yeah.

Cost of shipping+decent soil to BFE...it's just easier for some people. Like I said...i wouldn't recommend it to anyone BUT I don't knock it either, as it can and will grow cannabis if done right.

Scott's who owns Miracle Gro, distributes Round Up for Monsanto. That's a good enough reason for anyone not too use it.

i had plants last year that were in scotts potting soil and they shot up without any burn but it was a shame that they were male lol

I like http://www.lowes.com/pd_132959-7913...een&pl=1&currentURL=?Ntt=sta+green&facetInfo= in a pinch, I used it in a few holes my first year and it was just fine when amended with some goods. also last year I did 3 romulan clones that I threw in pretty damned late and they only had time to get 6" tall or so but they still produced 2+ ounces between them and I never nuted them .. oh except once and that was durring flower.

if your looking at cheap bagged soils take a look at scotts hyponex. Had been reading that in recent years MG has been pretty bad loaded with sticks and bark and bits of plastic. I personally witenessed shreds of plastic in a friends bag last year. Found a few reviews about this new hyponex soil. I guess it was on the market before but complete junk, found alot of review reporting that but only a few reviews on the new stuff. The few I found said it was great stuff at a low price, so i went to walmart to check it out. tore a bag open to get a handful and check it out, and it was infact some pretty decent looking stuff will need some perlite, but really looks quite nice, could be worth taking a look at, 8.25/ 2 cu ft

What's wrong with Round Up? Shit works great at killing weeds in the garden.
