I've always had pretty short hair. Grew up in a conservative southern community. The dude with the longest hari had about 6", and he was considered a "bad person". Pretty shitty.

I have short hair ... and I guess it is to conform. I'm a stage actor, so I need to keep my appearance pretty neutral. I'd love to have long hair, but then I wouldn't have a job (unless I lowered my standards) and I wouldn't be able to get many parts...

sooo ... yea

Me too girl!!!! I've had long hair all my life... (with the exception of that one painful year in the second grade).

I said I'd cut it off when I turned 30.... ROFL...30 came and went and I still had my hair! Every year after that I said I'd cut it off...and every year I've chickened out! I stand 5'9" (barefoot) and my hair is still to this day around waist length. Surprisingly enough... even with the length I can pull it into a French Twist (I need the heavy duty bobby pins) and still pull off that "professional woman in a suit who would never smoke pot " look for my clients.

Too paranoid to show my face... but WTF... here's me from the backside...

LET'S SEE SOME HAIR PEEPS!!!!

That's the same reason I keep mine buzzed. It's no mess. I can shampoo with a bar of soap, it doesn't hold water in the rain, and I never get bedhead.

Dude, I've had long hair my whole life except for a painful experience in preschool!!!!

My grandma hates long hair, so the night before I went to my first day of preschool, she woke me up, took me into the bathroom, and cut my hair like boyishly short.

I think I've hated short hair ever since then, and I'm never cutting my hair short again, EVER.

Well...one of my friends had her cancer come back, and I swore if she had to go through kemo and lost her hair and buzz mine for her. That's the only way though.

AND, I wouldn't cut my hair if I was you either, I think it looks beautiful!

used to have long hair when I was a kid, but cut it short when I got older.

now I'm rockin the comb over since my top hair is thin from drinking and not smoking,
noticed a couple of gray hairs shaving yesterday too.

I prefer short

Mine (in second grade) was when I cut my "wispy baby hairs" (you know the calicy ones around the hairline) and left the hair on the bathroom counter. My mom saw the hair and asked me about it.... I lied..... since I was the only blonde in the house I was BUSTED! As punishment for lieing she marched me down to the beauty shop and PIXIED me..... I cried and cried. I wore hats to school so the kids would think my hair was just pinned up..... then one sad rainy afternoon when we were trapped inside for recess.... a mean boy ripped the hat off my head and they all laughed at my sheared head. I cried for days and thought it was the end of the world. Turns out it wasn't.... my mom died that year later... and then I knew what the end of the world really felt like. I guess that's where my fear of cutting my hair comes from.

most of the time my hair is a bit shaggy. I hate getting it cut. I grew up in the 60's and 70"s the barber shop was a no go. now days it just looks like crap long. So I get it cut a few times a year.

I've always liked men with long hair..... as long as it's well kept. :peace:

I live in phoenix so sweaty long hair rarely looks good out here...but if it's well kept it looks cool....you know like a mohawk...lol...the jury is in I guess....different strokes I think they say:hump:
