Good point about the stores paying taxes Caregiver. I wonder if there will be any laws against having 2,3 orhowever many caregivers getting together and combining
resources to have a pseudo dispensory . They could avoid the $5000 fees for the application.

There is actually laws preventing this same exact thing. However, there are many licensed persons out there twisting the laws for themselves, and just, quite literally, make up laws themselves and spread it around.

The bottom line is that the laws are set to be followed by patients and caregivers. However, there is a VERY LOW chance that they will actually check up on you to see if you are following the rules. From my years of growing, and my entire network of caregivers and patients, not one single person has had their plants counted, their medicine weighed, or their integrity questioned. I wish they enacted a system where caregivers and patients participating in the act of cultivation are required to be examined by an inspector hired by the state. They have a similar idea buzzing around in Mass, but we will see how they go about it.

There are no such laws yet in Massachusetts. Please don't make up laws and spread them around. The Massachusetts law is very different then the Rhode island law and most of it has yet to bee written.

Thanks for the clarification. I very was confused by the "licensed persons" in MA. Thought I must have missed that meeting. I just made the assumption that friendly was referring to RI.

I meant there are laws in RI. I don't make anything up. Thanks for pitching in.

Hello Bde0001, I will only say this once because price is never discussed between my patients and I until we actually sit down, try plenty of medicine, and of several strains, and finally I usually let patients name their own price. But when meeting new patients and caregivers, you will always tell how reliable a patient is when they approach you; especially if they approach you demanding price of your product. For numbers? I think its the first time I put a dollar amount on RUI, but I usually accept donations of 180-250, depending on the financial status of the patient. Also, all greens that come out of my room are top quality. The ones that do not meet grade get turned into BHO oil.
how r u ? i would like to know what r your donations for clones ?

hey friendly caregiver got a few questions about RI laws and how it could be in MA.

"Limits the amount of marijuana that can be possessed and grown to up to 12 marijuana plants or 2.5 ounces of cultivated marijuana. Primary caregivers may not possess an amount of marijuana in excess of 24 marijuana plants and five ounces of usable marijuana for qualifying patients to whom he or she is connected through the Department's registration process.
"
so this means you can only caregive for 2 people??

and for hardship cultivation;
can you take on patients who meet that 25mile hardship even though you live closer? but i doubt anyone will be farther than 25 miles away from a dispensary..

do you think a cardholder/caregiver will be able to grow without a hardship up until dispensaries finally open?

thanks man, ive been thinking about moving back to boston for a while and this is an added reason to make the move sooner ;)

Because no dispensaries exist in MA any patient can cultivate for themselves or assign a caregiver until access to meds through a dispensary is available. Basically no dispensaries now puts everyone in MA in a hardship situation

Before you even think about opening a dispensary, familiarize yourself with non-profit corporation laws, how to manage taxes and cash flow, and basic accounting for a small business. Your sources of revenue are very few, so its very simple stuff.

Read this, should get you a LITTLE bit familiar with MA non-profit laws.
