Is outdoor... Less then indoor? And why?

ugh more second hand mis-information. I've had stains that weren't as crystally as others kick my ass, so who knows truly how relevant that is. the amount of thc is the percentage of THC compared to THE REST OF THE WEIGHT OF THE TRICHOME... not ALL the trichomes on the plant. that's where you get your THC percentage, a plant could have ONE trich and still have a thc% of 21%. something tells me open discussion is too much to ask for something as deeply intwined in ego's as this subject....

it has nothin to do with ego... once again i prefer outdoor and dont grow indoors. so my opinion is not biased. every year outdoor i grow a bunch of diff strains and there is always a few that come out super dank and could go toe to toe with any indoor bud. i just think indoor is better on average. but here are some pics from my grow two years ago, last year my outdoor got jacked so didnt get any harvest pics so these are the only ones i have. and only a couple of the pics i got are of bud done completely most are still on the plant but u get the idea.

oh well yeah man I've already agreed with you on the FACT that most outdoor is not as good as indoors, it takes a prime environment, a grower who knows his shit to a science and LOVES his/her plants.... I've compared my plants to other growers in the area and many of them don't even come close, often times because they are growing such large amounts they cannot focus on the plants like I do, or they choose not to, either way this is probably why most outdoor gets a bad rap . . . .

often times i think people are forced to pull their outdoor early too, whether it be because of weather, bugs, or fear of rippers... i think that has a big affect on the average quality. indoor growers have the benefit of being more secure and able to let their plants go to full maturity without much risk. with a lot of outdoor growers its a matter of risk vs reward and most people when faced with the decision to pull early or not tend to pull early with the mindset of better to have to bunch of premature bud than none at all. and we all know pullin a plant even if its only a week ahead of its time can affect the quality, and density greatly.

yeah I never pull early under any circumstances, though I'm sure I"ve been fortunate to not have any bad situations happen to cause me to have to pull early, but I also do the work to assure I don't have to pull early, such as guarding the plants, protecting from heavy rain or heavy frost, etc.

I've seen your pics and read a lot of the posts you've written...helpful to say the least and makes me green with envy.

I'm up here in Canada and know that certain strains work best for my climate, being a seasoned outdoor grower and knowing from experience, with the newer strains available to us which would you recommend I try next year. And after reading many posts, I found out I was using the wrong nutes and soil, any suggestions in that regard is welcome also.

"outdoor" doesn't hafta mean a "guerrilla" grow. nothin beats the sun light. guerilla grows can be lower quality due to shading, pests, water, etc. but a CONTROLLED outdoor grow........plz. that is great weed.

i love my outdoor so much...but it's not as good as my indoor
i have been to CCC witch is an outdoor/greenhouse dispensary (long time ago..might of changed)
most of what they had was no better than mine...i think that is when i started to think indoor was better...
i love the fact outdoor is sustainable...and the whole grow a pound for $100 thing too...
i have read that indoor accounts for 1% of America's total power usage...

oh sidetrack... is there some kind of greenhouse cover that would block some of the light spectrum to mimic a hps bulb?

Seems like just common sense. Between the sun, the endless medium, the rain and the breeze, nothing can compare to enable a plant (or animal) to reach its potential.

Think about hothouse tomatoes, they get prettier and prettier each year. Too bad they're so tasteless compared to organic garden-grown.

and i have seen them price outdoor for $400 a ounce..
the deangelo's wont disclose how much they make...
there is more...but meh...there are a lot worse clubs imo...

what people forget is the earth use to have about twice as much co2 in atmosphere as it does today. yes its on the rise again but its still nowhere near previous levels. plants can process way more co2 than mother nature can provide. more co2 means u can feed more nutes and denser buds. hps and mh may not be as strong as the sun but personally i think for the first foot ur getting just as good as light as the sun, and its constant 12hrs all day every day. ya lights lose lumens rapidly the further u go away from them but for that first foot, u can grow some stupid fire. anyone who use to go to AMC (alternative medical center) on folsom blvd in sacramento about 2 years ago or so may remember the raspberry kush they had. they had two varieties, greenhouse and indoor. the greenhouse had way more color but far less crystals and the majority of the nugs werent too solid. the indoor variety was probably the best weed ive ever seen/smoked. they sold clones of it as well all from the same vendor. granted the indoor was $420/oz and the greenhouse was $250... so was it that much better? i wouldnt say it was worth the price difference but the quality wasnt even comparable.

im only growing 3 plants this year so i can give them my full attention

and this bud is all going to ME !!!
so i dont have to pay for the over priced indoor at the club

Only close friends and family will get to appreciate this herb (maybe a select few members from RIU if we can get a "after harvest bbq going )
