Gen Hydro PPM for optimal growth

I am using Gen Hydro FloraGro/FloraMicro/FloraBloom with Diamond Nectar Floralicious Grow/Bloom Liquid KoolBloom Dry KoolBloom and CalMag. I learned the hard way not to follow the PPM/ML per gallon recommendation from the manufacturer when I burned the hell out of my plants. Can anyone please recommend the basic ML/gallon content for the GH 3 part line for basic stages. I have grown my first crop 8 feet tall thus far over 4-5 months, but I am simply taking the manufacturer specs and dialing them way down. I know I am growing far more slowly then I could if I simply knew the ideal concentrations for each step/week. If you have the knowledge I would be greately appreciative.

Also to clarify, right now I am using some new strains, so I am going from seeds with this batch. I plan on vegging these for a month and then hitting flower unless someone here with more knolwedge recommends I flower them after two weeks. So when I say the ideal ml/gallon and PPM for each stage I mean:No nutrients until 2 inches tall then ML/G for each part/PPM for week 1, 2, 3, 4ML/G and PPM for Flowering week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

i've used GH 3 part through a few grows and will try to help.
my experience is limited to hydro but most of the info should translate well to soil.

if you are using tap water, you should keep your PPM very low (never over a 1000 PPM at most).

The strain can really determine how much nutrients the plant can take. Some strains can handle very high levels of PPM - but just because it can "handle" it doesn't mean it thrives that way.

as a general rule (your mileage may vary)..
no nutes until about 2 - 3 weeks old. in hydro - i actually start adding nutes the first week but keep it under 2-300PPM

So week 0-4 - under 300PPM
week 4-5 under 500 PPM
week 6 (transition to 12/12) back to 300PPM
week 7- 9 under 700 PPM
rest of grow under 1000 PPM

Note that some strains may not like anything over 300 or 500 PPM - so watch the plants!
This assumes switching to 12/12 during week 6 but you can adjust your time accordingly.

was this what you were looking for?

as for which nutes and how much - i use the GH feeding guidelines for ratio but reduce the amount. Does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense thank you so much! =) I am using a hydro ebb system so its perfect. One last thing, I have been following GH ratio program w/ limited success by reducing the amount as advised by the hydro store. However, in SeeMoreBuds video he gives a different ratio which I wanted to try. He uses an Aero type system tho, can I use the same nutrient ratio for hydro as aero?

i have the seemorebuds videos but don't recall that (and honestly don't think i'll have the time to watch them again soon) but you may be talking about the Lucas Formula...

I will also share some pH, PPM, nutrient and feeding links that i find incredibly useful and perhaps you will also... (these are not mine - i just use them):

there is a LOT of info to digest there so don't expect to "get it" right away but it will come together (to be clear - i'm no pro - i still screw up all the time)

also if you can tell my noob ass how to do it I would love to give you +rep for the great info
oh thanks. i grow in hydro so feel free to drop me a line if you want. unless you already know - i suspect your next questions will be regarding .. when and if to top/FIM, when to switch to 12/12, how long it takes to flower, how to know when to harvest, how to dry and cure.... i have handy-dandy links for most all of them!

while you are looking at a post you want to rep, in the right hand corner of the post, you'll see a number, a set of scales, and two exclamation points. click on the scales and a little box will open and you can type a message and rep someone - i recommend you say why you're repping and who you are.

Just thought I would mention something. You really need to start with good water.
I have used Tap, R/O and Distilled with Floras nutes and it makes a big difference. You can burn your plants with say 600PPM in tap water and they thrive in distilled.

Its all the other crap in there. If your going Hydro you want clean water.
