My second grow- PC case/CFL's

Checking in on your grow you told me about. Very nice.

You give me hope lol. I have the same 2-7-7 cactus nutes, which I figured I would use during flowering just because I have it laying around. I think I'm going to try the LST method like you have here.

Can't wait to see the dry weight.


What type of soil are you using?

Thanks man, I cant wait for the dry weight too lol. Seems like the cactus food is working ok but could be alot better with a big bloom or something else from foxfarm. The soil I used was a mixture I made up from some organic soil from the hardware store and some perlite. Its probly a 50/50 mix, I also have a thin layer of gravel on the bottom to help with drainage.

It's three days away from harvest time, and I'm super excited :eyesmoke: Just snapped a few pics . It's all trimmed up and ready for the chop down on Monday night. The trics are pretty cloudy and its covered in red hairs. What does everyone think? Probly only yield a few good grams in dry weight but the way this thing looks and smells it was totally worth the month and a half of growing lol. enjoy this bud porn :weed: any comments/questions are welcome

*EDIT: Just wondering If I should let it sit in darkness a day or two before I chop her? I heard a lot of mixed information on this.

you guys think Ill be good to harvest this thing on monday ( 4 days) I didn't keep any type of log or anything on this grow. I think i'm somewhere around the 7 1/2 - 8 week mark, this was a 12/12 from seed grow and I need some help, don't wanna chop too early or late.

is it 7.5-8 weeks since it popped from the soil? or since it started showing girl hairs? do you have a magnifier or a pocket microscope to check the trichs? if not I'd suggest getting one on ebay/radioshack for a few bux.

it looks like it could go for 2 more weeks..

Wow another 2 weeks really?? Seems like overkill lol the trics are cloudy and most hairs are red in color. I dont want to wait too long

its a patience game dude.. its a bummer smoking premature bud. I still see quite a few white hairs and although it doesnt mean anything about the trichs condition, it does look like those buds could get bigger. but if you're happy with the cloudy trichs and size then go ahead and enjoy that dankness!

haha I know man, this is my second grow and the first one I was forced to chop early with nearly alll white hairs!!, It was still a decent smoke but I wanted this batch to be much more potent. So looks like I'll wait another week or so until all the hairs are red and it fattens up a little more. I was just nervous that letting it go too long would kill it and I would have nothing lol. Well hey thanks for all the info avrum and keep an eye on my thread because I'll be posting more pics over the next week or so.

Little update as well, I just gave her a good watering with molasses tonight and it's still getting bigger each day I look at it. Haven't taken any new pics, Ill post something tomorrow when I get a chance and hopefully it likes this molasses I just gave it

Looking good. I still can't wait to see your dry weights. I corrected my heat issues and I think I'll be running roughly the same amount of wattage as you (I got 3 lights in now, but I know I can run 4). I'll be following your lady closely so I can get a guestimate on what I might be able to pull. Keep us posted, and good luck.

Whats up dude,

you should def let that thing go longer. I agree with at least 2 weeks.
If your counting 8 weeks from it sprouting, then 2 weeks more minimum.
Even when you 12/12 from seed the first 2-3 weeks the plant will actually be vegging til it matures to flower. You would normally start to count your flower when you flip 12/12 or wait a week or until you notice a change to flowering (dosent apply to 12/12 from seed but...), then you start counting the weeks of flower. People do it both ways. But doing 12/12 from seed I would tack on a extra couple weeks to account for the small amount of veg it does.

and 8 weeks is only if its a 8 week flowering strain, if im not mistaken you dont know what it is, so it could be a 9 or 10 week strain possibly. your best bet will be to let it go longer. It will only swell more and give you a larger nug if you wait.

Haha yeah Im not too worried about being stealth with this grow. I was very curious about pc growing and decided to try it, My next grow will be in a custom box much bigger than a pc. Thanks for looking and keep an eye out for more pics, harvest is really soon

good stuff for sure! i havent decided on if i was gonna do a pc grow or not haha! Really having a hard time on picking what im gonna do !!!! autos or not ! custom or pc! if i go pc box i should do auto. and custom i should go not autos. Oh choices how sometimes i hate you!
