Hmm.. I live in a place that doesnt snow and the liberal wants me to buy snow shovels. Is that your idea of economic stimulus? Do you want congress to pass a bill forcing me to buy several? Sounds like your kind of program.

If you spent less time worrying about your neighbor and more time taking care of your own life, things would be better for everyone.
well, based solely on your previous postings, i would have guessed that your "businesses" would involve raking leaves, mowing lawns and shoveling snow for all the old ladies in the neighborhood.

maybe you can start a super awesome business trimming palm tree fronds? that is, if the whole obama as president thing doesn't destroy capitalism entirely...

LOL!

i'll step in.

abolishing public education: insane

i can go on...
Why insane to stop the federal government from stinking its nose into public education? Why not leave the administration of public education at a state level? Why does the federal government need to be involved?

Because there are Thousands of Local School Boards that would jump at the Chance to teach Religion in School
And they are not all Christian

BTW the Penn State Scandal was Exposed by the Dept of Education

A fine example of intolerance. Teaching immorality is good, teaching morality is bad.

Why shouldn't groups of local citizens have the right to teach their own children as they best see fit? Don't they teach religion in Jewish schools, oh forgive me, I forgot that those aren't public.

Uber points for that observation.

that is not what ron paul has stated.

he says he wants to PRIVATIZE ALL SCHOOLS. that is equivalent to abolishing public education.

you defend the guy and don't even have any idea of what he wants.

Because it comes from a Pool of Taxpayers money
And being a Homeowner and paying over 3k in property taxes AND sending My kid to a Private Religous school on My dime
I think it is a Misapplication of Funds

You want to teach your Kid Religion. Do it at home or with your money.

Can you provide reference? I have never heard of this? It was my understanding that Ron Paul only wanted to end the Federal Department of Education.

I can't understand why public education can't be administered at a state only level, it seems wasteful to elevate it to a federal level.

OR
9. Ron Paul Will Privatize Education
As a college student, this is perhaps my favorite issue to discuss. Summer protests that “Ron Paul would butcher our already sad educational system.” Damn right he will! The public education system is very sad, indeed. Ron Paul will scrap the system entirely (albeit gradually) and let the free market take its course. Privatized education would not look like the private schools today. Access to education would be at all-time highs due to competition among schools. Incentives would be given to students which may motivate them to learn, and better educated workers would result to meet the demands of business. Teachers would be better compensated and their wages would increase as a function of their work. A quick look at the educational system in Holland and the Netherlands would allow for vouchers to be given to students who could not afford education, and the result would be a low-cost high-value education. Further, education would not be compulsory or necessarily biased in curriculum. Ron Paul affirms that education is a privilege, not a right.

Is the teaching of religion your only objection? Do you object to other teachings? Do you object to the teaching of political correctness? Do you object to the teaching of multicultural diversity?

let's see...i'm keeping more of my own money.

we're not losing 700k jobs a month like when he entered office, we are adding jobs.

growth is slow but steady.

we're on the way back.

i mean, you strike me as a minor, but can you recall a faster recovery from a similarly bad recession? i think not. let's not even mention how the republicans have been doing everything in their power to stall a recovery so that they can try to take credit for it.

i object to someone teaching my children unfounded religion over almost irrefutable science, as in the case of evolution.

Some economists are not sure we are in a recovery.

Glad things are going so well for you.

And I am double the legal age plus quite a few years thank you very much. Still wasnt old enough to care when Carter had interest rates in the double digits and was responsible for price fixing and rationing and lines at gas stations. Damn, he was such a great president!! You know when he came out and gave those great speeches like the one about malaise... how he blamed everyone else, how he acted alot like Obama is doing right now...

Aaah the bad old days...

number of faster recoveries after similar recessions that you have named: ZERO

thanks for proving my point about the irrationality and unrealistic expectations you righties harbor.
