Murder in the D

Just sounds less likely then the other way around, but like you said there is like 85 percent black 10 percent white in D
yeah its pretty one sided in the city...but liek Dank said its not like that in all of Mi....up north has some of the kewlest people yul ever meet, its a total flipside from the inner city, air is clean, scenery is heaven

Detroit is over 90% black that is why the disparity. Most of the crime is black on black. The few white people on the list were probably kids going to the D to get their fix. If you're strung out you can always get your H in the city very easily. That's the reason Janice Joplin loved the D, she would come here sorta clean and leave strung out.

The black middle class has moved out and joined the rest of us in the suburbs. Leaving the retirees (usually the victims) that can't afford to move, the uneducated that can't get work and the criminals. Of course it is an oversimplification but you get the idea.

Edit: I might be wrong on the 90% black thing.
I feel awkward for saying it but 98 percent of the people killed were black and got shot. The few white people on there mostly died from assault........... I mean go ahead call me put for being "racist" but it kinda proves a point.......

In the city, yes I agree. In the suburbs, no.
yeah i was talkin bout the inner city...the burbs are are pretty nice indeed

I have an old book from the early 1900's with Detroit as it was in its day, it was deff not what it is today..all the richest motherfuckers came to the D for all sorts of things....ill take some pics from it and post em...some of the buildings are still there so we can compare lol

Yep, I saw that one.

Every time we hear of a white kid getting shot or worse, we look at each other and say:

What were they doing in that neighborhood?
What were they doing out at that hour?
Where are the parents? (Usually they say they didn't know. Yeah, right.)
Why are they out that late unsupervised?

If it was a black kid late at night, we'd say:
Where were he's parents?
Why is he wandering the city on foot late at night unsupervised?

Nothing but trouble happens in the D after midnight. Actually, the riffraff starts to crawl out of their holes at about 4 pm that's why the old folks do their shopping or whatever they have to do before 3 pm. Square biz.

There are many hidden things in the city that no one talks about, even me.

you worked in the D.
For about 8 years...we did work on MGM Grand and Motor City Casinos, Conor Creek water treatment plant ( great area that was...lol) and all kinds of other misc. jobs. Alot of the schools we worked on were in some pretty bad areas too...we covered the whole city working on the schools, some fucked up shit those kids deal with. I only had a few scary moments at work...it was my party days that would of ended me up on that map:shock:...if it was 20 years older that is...lol.

This is the reason why we closed our business in the city and are planning on leaving the state. When you click on all the years then there are so many dots where the bodies were found on the map that you can't see the city.

Looks nice but i wouldnt be able to get to a place to work a job so i dont know how i would support myself, detroit seems nice but im not sure if i would fit in and im not into being murdered and robbed and if you kill some idiot whos trying to rob you your in trouble and go to prison, so im not syre about the move yet.
