I want everyone's input on what you think so far with my grow riddle id also like your help on lights as far as led cmh mh ect
As for my grow I'm using mg with mg nutes ill be switching to jacks classic and dyna gro next month my ph is always 6.2 give or take a point I'm also using food spikes in one of my plants it contains nitrogen phosphate potash magnesium born copper iron manganese and zinc the formula is 6-12-6 and the liquid food in my other plants is 8-7-6 basic n-p-k I'm using riddle's MIR in my larger pot and the other smaller one get basic watering I am right now running fan constant on plants and using cfl but soon upgrading lights is like to know if I'm on the right path BTW they are about a month old thanks for everyone's help and advice in advance

JJ, don't listen to ocali, he's just some kid trolling and really has no clue about growing,...check his posts.
Don't bury them up to the coty's,lol,...simply lower your lights and get a fan on them. A hard fan. The plant will build a stronger stalk if you subject it to adverse conditions,....blow it over!! It'll get stronger very quickly.
Be very careful with those nutes, they arent made for cannabis and the time release stuff can burn your crop about 1/2 way in when they release. Be very careful, theres a reason high end growers avoid their products.
Gen rule for light height.....place your hand between the light and the top of the plant. If the sensitive skin on the top of your hand is comfortable, so will the plant. Get them as low as you can.
It's time to transplant into the final pots. I suggest a 3gallon minimum if you use hps, smaller is ok if using cfl's.
The lights shown are pretty much useless. Go to htg supply and surf around to get an idea of the types of lights you went to use. hps would be the first recommendation, LED second and cfl last. Remember, you get what you give. Good luck

Well shit, 21 years of growing, at least I said one thing right,lol.
Your first grow was this April. If you'd like to debate this scientifically I'm down, camera ready if comparing is what you're into.

They look fine so far but early veg is the easy part. Once the plant starts calling for things like lots of light and food and such, that's when it starts getting as little more complicated. Not hard, just more involved.
The t5 is excellent for veg, stay with it,don't change it. You will need something considerably stronger to flower with however. Remember, in flowering, it's all about the lumens and u get what you give. Toiling over a plant (although it can be fun and even therapeutic) can be discouraging if it only gives you a 1/4 ounce after 4 months of care and electricity.

a t5 is not useless like he said i don't care how long he's been growing just get it closer. and i always bury my seed leaves to nothing wrong with that.

Maybe you should read it again. I said the t5 is excellent for veg, the bulbs pictured (15w flood light bulbs) are useless. And I didn't say it was wrong to bury to the coty's, I said it's not necessary,....and it isn't. Doesn't hurt anything but again,...not necessary. If you accidentally stretch the hell out of one, then go for it but once you've been a it a bit, you won't be making basic mistakes like that nd you'll see that the way mother nature does it is just fine. Don't overstretch the seedling and you won't need to worry about fixing the fuck up.
21 years of growing and you havent figured that out yet? and it isnt science my friend it is common sense...why are telephone poles set so deep in the ground? provides more support. same concept with plants...i never said a fan wasnt a good idea, but if you have a stretched plant, and it wont stand up on its own, then putting a fan on the thing would come last. i'd bury my plant up to the cot's, then lower my light...then put a fan on it. ya see? lol

No, the common sense comes in when you realize you are vegging with fluorescent lighting and if you don't take precautions in your set up, you'll get stretch and then have to FIX that. Why not do it right from the beginning?

maybe in your grow rooms, I prefer to let the plant build vigor and recover on it's own if I fucked up but then again, after 21 yrs, the germ/seedling/juvenile is something I can do blindfolded,......in other words,...I don't get stretched plants.because I employ your previously mentioned common sense. Let me ask you, how many different methods have you tried regarding the recovery of a stretched seedling? You seem to have all the answers for someone with 1 run under their belt.

As a rookie, you should have your ears wide open and the mouth should be asking questions, not wasting time confronting someone who has been doing this since before you were probably born.Take the time to read the replies before posting please

One more time, IF you fuck up and stretch a seedling, do what you have to do and burying it to the coty's is one option. It's not the option I would choose but what do I know.
