Bud Porn-42 Days Flowering Nirvana Bubblelicious-First Grow

I suspected that was nute burn on the tips of the leaves!! Kind of bugs me. I am using a 3.2 gallon air pot (http://www.airpotgarden.com/) and it requires daily watering. So I have been using nutes on every other watering, or every other day (FF Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom as well as 1/2 tbsp unsulphured molasses). Maybe I should use nutes on every third day of watering. Otherwise, I am happy with the results. Thank You for the feedback!!

Looking very nice for only 42 days flower and CFLs.

BTW, how many cfls do you have? Looks like a lot.

A LOT! Probably overkill. Here's a detailed breakdown: 4- 42watt 2700K, 6- 23watt 2700K, 6- 23watt 6500K (same ones used during 5 week veg). So actual watts used = 444!!! They are all fairly evenly distributed around her. I am only experimenting with one plant at this time (personal med) - just being a 'patient' grasshopper I guess.. Considering how dense and sticky the buds feel (especially the top bud), I am happy. I am just hoping I haven't over nuted her!

As long as it's not getting too hot in your grow space, then the more surface area that has direct light shining on it, the better. So defenitly not overkill.

If you think you're starting to get nute burn then I'd give it straight water for a few waterings. Maybe even flush the soil a bit.

when i used soil I gave nutes every 3 days so I could keep my PPM at max and still not burn em.

Dang I would just go with like a 600 watt instead of all that. 4x42 watt = 168, 6x23 watt = 138 watt another 6x23 watt = 138 watt of course I do this before i see you did the math already lol. Man with the lumens from a 600 watt instead of all that I think you would do better depending on how many total plants you got in there. But for the extra 10$ a month I would get a dual ballast and rock it.. But if you cant get that because they do cost a few hundred I think and its going good then hey, very nice and I hope it comes out real good for you.. just make sure to post some pics when done please... Thanks. and some rep for the grow for ya Rep +

Your grow looks good so far bro...........The Only thing I see that doesnt look like its effected your plants is to be careful with your reflective material whenever it crinkles up it can cause the plants to get burned like you would an Ant with a magnify glass. That may not be a big issue with CFL growing but i know it burned my plants with a 400W HPS..so maybe this will be future reference if you ever upgrade the lighting

Early on during veg, I did notice the temps in the grow space were getting up there, so I placed a Honeywell TurboForce HT-900 9 in. Tabletop Fan on top of the grow space to create negative pressure (see pic) and since then, the high temps have been kept completely under control - a $13 solution! During dark hours, I do have to lay a towel over the fan to ensure complete darkness in the grow space, but that's no biggie.

Yeah...I bought that mylar at local warehouse paper store - used primarily for gift wrapping 4'x50' for $7- super thin and a real pain to work with. But hey, I did not want to over spend on my first grow. :-)

Thanks for the rep dude! I only have the one lady in there - I am sure she is thoroughly enjoying all the rays the CFls provide. I should point out - there is a definite candy-sweet piney aroma emanating from the grow space.

Here's some more eye candy.

The nugs have definitely gotten frostier, and now I am having a real serious issue with odor. Had to purchase an odor reducing carbon pre-filter at Home Depot and wrapped it around the fan I am using as an exhaust to keep the grow space cool. It works!!

Today is the last day of week 7 flowering. I used minimal nutes this week, and don't plan on using anymore throughout the remaining week of flowering. I am going to keep on eye on the trichs, but was wondering, (and I am thinking a week ahead here) would it be ok to harvest the top and let the lower branches mature a few more days under the lights? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Looks good for CFL's man. My 600W HPS and MH are collecting dust in the garage while I attempt my first CFL + Aeroponic grow. It sucks not being able to use my HID setup but seeing your results makes me feel better. :)

The plant definitely digs the CFLs. I keep the lights pretty darn close to her, and fairly well distributed around her. Check out the pics. I'm going DWC and CFLs on next grow.
