Well you are a bad grower. Do you have any idea how much industrial processed junk food ppl feed their kids, that shit accumulates in the organs, do you really want that in your grow? I wouldn't even feed that to my dog.
I would never feed that crap to my babies! I usually keep the children in a pit for a couple weeks and feed them organic food high in Nitrogen :P

I believe wholeheartedly as LED as the future of lighting and possibly growing. However anything less than a 10-20watt LED (Actual wattage draw PER LED) is not going to do it for me, the math isn't there to support these claims with these .3 watt cheap ass LED's (Bullet shaped) that do not contain lenses..

A panel with 30 20-watt LED's with 60 degree relfectors will make me change when the cost is there. The ONLY grow I have seen and liked so far from LED is the guy who puts em in the window during the day and suppliments with LED after the sun goes down. In all seriousness everything I have seen either looks like a salesman is writing it or someone trying to make their idea of purchasing an overpriced underpowered light sound good. LED's are not used in commercial grows, that should tell you something.

When better stronger LED's that can actually give my babies 10k lumen/sq foot and 3 feet of penetration then I will go for it.

I guarantee that everyone who says those things in your thread has penis size issues.
I'm betting they're about 4" at full capacity (if they're lucky), falling far short of being able to satisfy their lovers.
So now they have to try to fuck with people on the internet, because no ones fucking them in real life.

Well i also have penis size issues:) but i dont take it out on other people lol.

Dude, theyve already came up with a single chip led that was more powerful than a 1khps, just burned up in less than a minute. I have a led that runs 3 watt lights, not .3 watt lights nor 1w/3light lights. This is an led panel that has almost 200 diodes burning over 2 watts each. I get 8000 lumens at 40 feet away, and it has 15 spectrums including uv and ir (I can feel me getting a sunburn sometimes). I spent 1500 on it, and it has been worth every single penny. Doesn't slow flowering, vegetative, everything is cool (well comparatively speaking, a 600 watt light produces heat no matter what, around 101 at the light itself but less than 2 inches away drops to 96) I can grow 5' tall trees with this light if I wanted too, great penetration, GREAT trich production, great everything!

What brand is your LED?

It's funny the original starter in 09 caught so much shit and look how far leds have come since...i have hps/mh and switched 2 all ufos and it's unbelievable how much growth occurs they are def. The shit and cut costs wayyy down instead of cooling u gotta worry about it not getting too cold!!

I'm sure you meant 4ft though right? Yeah what light did you go with?

Hey dudeface, why dont you come back and talk with the big kids once you've completed your first grow? Really why even throw your 2 cents in when you literally have zero experience?

Take a look at Irishboys grows and you will eat your words

i just saw this dude on reddit using pure led in commercial systems heres the video he posted http://tinypic.com/r/2r5gleg/7

i dont think other led people got research steups like that

also with led you dont measure by lumens we already rolled thru this convo before

HAHA!! wtf are you talking about?? Do you even know? LED are being used in commercial grows all over. Commercial medi growers in cali fully rock LEDs. The only commercial growers in cali who don't use LED are those operating illegally by bypassing their power meter and stealing power from actual energy payers like me while contributing to our energy crisis. Not much longer though because power companies are working around the clock with law enforcement to find these operations and because theft of electricity is a crime, once they find these houses they have no fourth amendment rights. Power companies are developing better software to more accurately detect what watts are going where. A medi friend of mine who grows his legal limit under 2000w got a call from his landlord who got a call from the power company because of all the amps he was using at night. So then he had to go through all the BS to show he was legal. And btw, that guy is purchasing LED when he crops because he sees them working. He was my biggest skeptic. If it's a legal medi-commercial grow that's not using LED, they are going green house. If you want to pay more per gram in energy costs that's fine with me, because it only hurts you to do so. I could care less if you don't pay attention to where the industry is heading because 2/3s of the people in this game now will be extinct in 5 years and I can guess which side commercial HPS growers will be on.

Every HPS user I know is either thinking of going LED or quitting entirely. It was the decision I was faced with. Lower product prices and rising energy rates.

So the word on LED grow has gone something like this. "LED grows stretchy light starved plants," to "LED is good for veg but cannot grow through the flower cycle". "LED can flower but only popcorn buds", "LED can grow buds but density is not there" "Density is there but LED has a lower yield" "you only get 2/3rds the yield with LED" while not mentioning at 1/3rd the cost which in my math is a higher yield per watt. So it's awesome to do what I have been told is impossible.
