Best Organic Fert for Flowering?

Whats the best reasonable organic fertilizer for flowering? The mix I'm currently using is as follows..

50% Miracle Grow Sta-Green Pro. potting soil
30% Perlite
20% Composted cow manure
2 Cups Crushed Eggshells
2 Cups Diced Banana Peels
1 Tbls./gal. Blood meal
1 Tbls./gal. Bone meal


Also currently watering with 5-1-1 Fish emulsion for veg. with 1 tbls/gal, h2o every other watering. So something water soluble would be awesome.

well id assume the h2o was suposed to be h2o2. h2o is water. and if so then using ornganics is kinda waste and along with mg soils. h2o2 kills of the microbial life the organics need to work right, it works but just not getting the best from it isd all.

I don't use h202 just water in alternation with fertilizer so I don't end up burning the plant.

i am using steamed bone meal. Its 100% organic with a npk of 0-10-0. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. Supplies all the P you need during flowering.

Hey Flying Orange,

If you're in this sweet organic world, you gotta consider aerating that H20 overnight before you water your ladies! Only thing to buy is an airpump and a few feet of hose, air stone not necessary. you might drop $20 for the most. Drop the hose into a big water bottle (>2Ltr, I use a 3 Gal bottle) and leave overnight. It'll keep your microherd (and the roots) happy and they will use the nutes more efficiently, hopefully meaning less flush and sweeter bud.

If you convert that aeration/watering scheme to a compost tea every week or two by throwing in some compost/nettles/manure - even good old plain SOIL - into the water, along with some brown sugar or (rediculously good) blackstrap molasses, you are freakin golden man, GOLDEN!

Grow strong!

EDIT: Keep an eye on pH if growing with the aerated water, as it can push pH up. Just like you would when you change anything in the set up.

If by "the best organic fert for flowering" you mean the best source of organic Potassium, I'm gonna say Palm or similar ashes. If you mean the best organic fertilizer mix for flowering then I'd have to say the best results come from feeding your plants a variety of different foods. That said, one mix we use frequently in flowering would be about half strength 3-10-1 Guano & some Palm Ash made into tea (Ph adjusted), with 1-0-4 Maxicrop and 5-1-1 Fish Emulsion added. This is our basic flowering mega-mix and is hands-down the best bloom fertilizer I've used in six years of growing.

ecpect it takes about a monhth for that to be avail to the plant. so its not relay getting it even. needs to be in ther soil form the beginning to be any good for them by flower time. most organic are like that. takes a while to be available. it has to turn into a salt first.

Ok so how does this once a week sound then?

4 tbsp/gal Agave Nectar
1/4 tsp Tarantula
1/4 tsp Piranha

..bubbled 24 hours at room temp to promote bacterial and fungal growth then mixed with..

1 tbsp/gal 0-5-4 Liquid Bat Guano and Langbeinite
1 tbsp/gal 5-1-1 Liquid Fish Ferts
3 tbsp/gal 0-0-1 Liquid Cold-pressed Seaweed

Has anyone ever used the neptunes harvest line stuff?? Mostly sea organics like kelp and fish emulsion.
I'm not sure the manafacturer right now but they are so low in npk ratings but i guess like most organics that's the point.
Get the good organics in keep the high synthetic nutes out?(??

If you replace the seaweed with 1-0-4 Maxicrop soluble powder, you'll have a better K level for flowering. The powder lasts practically forever and makes a great foliar feed. Regardless how you get there, you'll probably need or at least benefit from a little extra Potassium later on if your buds get to be a good size. I wouldn't reccomend using the Guano and Langbeinite any more concentrated or more often than the directions say.

Neptune's harvest makes decent stuff. Theirs was the first Fish Emulsion we ever tried and it works as well as any other. Definately got us hooked on using the stuff. You can actually use stronger concentrations with organics since they aren't as harsh as many chemical ferts. While chemical ferts are concentrated in the bottle, they need to be diluted much more than their organic counterparts and it's the nutrient ratios of the final solution that really matter. The Fish Emulsion has a fair amount of N but if you want higher numbers, look into Guanos, Bone & Blood Meals, and Palm Ash.

As of now I'm only using the mix once a week which is what each recommends.
