I have a volcano, wanted to buy glass, but found an iolite for cheap. What to do?

the magic flight is cool and all . . . but it's not truly portable as it requires you to recharge the battery . . . .the iolite you can bring a can of butane with you that would probably last 2 weeks or more . . .

I think that I will actually buy both

I think I will buy a $150-$250 bong, and then buy the iolite.

My reasoning is: I really don't have any use for the iolite right now, it's too hot to hike or go out and enjoy the weather, and I currently have the freedom to be able to go home and hit the volcano pretty much whenever I please.

In a few months or less though I will have a use for the iolite, and thanks to poplars I've decided that I need to add it to the collection. I will probably buy new (because I enjoy knowing EVERYTHING my devices have been through).

I find that I procrastinate a lot, and sometimes I need to get baked real fast and get out the door. Turning on the volcano, and grinding up the herb into a fine form takes too long. So does rolling a joint and smoking it. And pouring water in the bong, loading up a fat bowl and burning it on the go is what I need right now.

So thanks everyone, I tried to +rep FDD and Poplars, but I 'need to spread more around' first. So if someone could +rep them for me that would be great.

Hey sr. verde thanks for stopping by my threads so much lately, anyway i might not know much about growing but i know a little about vapes and bongs lol.
To start out i think you should get both a bong and the iolight like you said but dont get a hurricane. Ive used a legit hurricane, not the knock off tsunami ones, but anyway they arent worth it.
They might look cool when they spin and they do filter some smoke but it really doesn't do as good of a job as they cost.
The bong im rockin right now is a beaker bottom, ice notched, diffused, and has a diffused ash catcher it is literally my baby....
I dont really like percs because two diffusers can do the charm and clean easyier plus multiple percs sometimes are hard to pull and take up room that smoke could be occupying.

ummm so im prety burntout and i dont want to proof read that but dont get a perc bong and dont get a hurricane so yea...

It's just so damn different, it seems like it would be real easy to clean. It's nice to look at, and I would love to have it sitting on my table.

Like you said percs are cool to smoke out of but I wouldn't really want a perc'd bong. They are harder to clear and they're a bitch to clean. And even if the hurricane doesn't filter the smoke like some other pieces, that's fine. I mean if I want a smooth hit I can just hit that volcano...

What do you think? If you could get the extra money for it (not sacrificing anything else) would you buy it?

Thats a good point about not caring about how smooth your bong is if you can hit the volcano. I have a Hotboxvapor (whip vape) which is nice.
I prefer all my smoking devices to be smooth but if you dont care about it in ur bong go ahead and get the hurricane.
If smoothness isnt an obstacle your going to love ur hurricane because the gold ones turn really cool colors when they are dirty and they look good not only do they spin when u hit em.

btw only get the 3 jet one because the 6 jet adds alot more air to your hits and it doesnt spin the smoke that much more.

So i just looked at some hurricanes....... i dont like the frosted ones and i guess you can get 6 jets if its 1000cc so its up to you

My friend had either a 600 or 750 im not sure and it was a 6 jet frosted.
My take on his was that i wanted it to be bigger and golden, but only have 3 jets because it could have been milkier, and not be frosted because you cant see the spin as much from the side and the frost doesnt help you hold it even when its wet because it has those ribs and a rim on the mouth piece so it wont slip out of your hand either way.

My take on these bongs is the more cc the better because the price doesnt increase by that much.
The 1000cc is only a foot and a half so that sounds just right for me.

If you have money for it get it but i just dont like how you get smoothness and filtration at the expense of smoke thickness.... you can only know if the 3 or 6 jet is better by smoking both.... this bong just looks like it has a huge placebo effect....try to get a diffuser on it and it might top all bongs

Im not sure if the person answering emails will know from experience, but you can always try and just refer to smoking tobacco.
Speaking of edit im about to buy a 4pc space case titanium grinder and press to go with it what do you think of that purchase haha?

hey i have an iolite =)

I've been using it for about 2 months, 3 or 4 times a day. I like it but it has some issues. I use it only in the car and outside, rarely do I use it indoors when I have access to an actual pipe. I have used a volcano before and as far as vaping goes the volcano is obviously superior. However, the iolite has a lot of perks. A packed bowl is about .3 grams and will last you around 15 to 30 mins depending on how often you inhale. It takes a bit to heat up, around 3 minutes to be optimal but it really will start giving hits in like 45 seconds. Had issues with it not really heating up because it got air locked, bleeding it is super easy though (stick pen on butane filler till all air is purged). The can of butane that came with it has lasted this entire time and still has some juice, but I'm going to buy a new one next week ($9) because it doesn't seem to have pressure to adequately fill it anymore. A full fill usually will last you 2 or 3 full packs.

Dunno, just ask me questions. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my iolite... you really can use it basically anywhere.
