Yes they are suppose to be covered but only so water is not just open and light and mold etc but , as far as that pic goes i only put those there because i changed the water and it keeps the roots down. I use two black cannon film lense when the light is on .

I did have 3 CFL but i took them out as soon as i got my 150 HPS.So to answer your question i am using a 150 hps system made by..HTGSUPPLY.COM

The hps can make up for the loss of those CFL and then some,its out put its 16,000 lumens i believe


Yes i am using the aerogarden 3 air pump but i added a air stone also along with the T fitting.

Do you know how many gallons/liters the reservoir is?

Nice that you don't have to run an extra cable for that better air stone.

Yep its a good deal! With shipping its 91.75 i think.

The reservoir is half a gallon.

When i mix all my nutrients its in a 1 g water bottle so its simple then increase as you go along

Stick around and see sticky results!

This may even be one of the best AG grows ...well i hope lol

The airstone you added...is it the bar or round type? How big?

The roots have the space they would just stack up on each other eventually it keep going in a circle.

Roots are smart they adapt.

These roots seem to have adapted if you will, to this unit and its size and are forming in such a way that , i am 100% sure the roots will be fine .

Yep and the sex of this plant is 100% female! :leaf:

i had a nute problem i think the ppm was over so there is one dead leaf from the first node lol it turned like dark green and became super soft

roots will adapt only to a certain extent... your plant will grow a lot when you switch to flower and if you dont have rootspace your plant can stop growing all together
