Are you running a hydro, aero, or soil system? Your solution will vary depending on which you're running.

It looks like a magnesium deficiency to me. Check your water before you feed and make sure the EC is below 200. Any higher and it will lock magnesium out, causing that necrosis effect. The affected leaves will not make a recovery but you can save the rest of the plant by adding some epsom salt to your tank. A quarter teaspoon per gallon should be good, but make sure you don't overdo it or you'll lock out other essential nutrients. It's always better to do too little than too much.

Alternatively it could be a salt buildup. The only way to fix this is to flush your roots with clean water at a 3:1 water to soil ratio or completely emptying your reservoir and running clean water through it for up to 4 days. If you're not using any medium or are using clay tablets then only flush for 24 hours then return to nutrients.

Dude are you serious? EC less than 200!!!!! Anything over 1.8 or 1.9 is pretty much max for most MJ.

yeah i didnt read the guy who posted ahead of mines all the way and yeah you could use a smaller dose or just continuously water your plant with reg water after you give it the salt just to flush everyyythin out its system...

well seeing as magnesium and potassium def. occurs more in flowering, i assumed with the rust spots, yellowing, leaves curling up and all that it was a mag def.

kinda like this one. but yeah give us some more info

I thought it was magnesium so i added some epson salts yesterday. My ec is at 1.8 and im using GHE flora nutes. Bud's are fine just the fan leaves are dying. Im using a auto pot systemwith a 25 litre res. Could it be a disease?

Peace

It is normal and natural for the lower leaves to yellow and die off when mid way into Flowering, IF you use a high Phosperous BLOOM nute.

You cna add 1/6 dose of VEG nutes and they will stop falling off.

I was going to say that also. The plant doesn't get N in it's bloom nutes and when it has used up all the N in the soil it will start to use what is in the fan leaves slowly killing them off. It is natural and if your that late into flower you can remove them all together for tha last week to get more light to the buds.....

At 8 weeks flowering your fan leaves will most certainally start turing yellow and falling off no matter what you do. This is natural and you should not be highly concerned with it. You should NOT give it nutrients to try and correct this (cause it doesn't need fixing) and because if your at 8 weeks flowering you need to be stepping your nutrients down for a flush not up.

Meant to say PPM instead of EC in my first post. Apologies.

Your leaves should definitely not be turning yellow that early in flowering. They shouldn't turn yellow until your second harvest is just about up. If they do so earlier it's a nutrient problem and you are hurting your overall yield. Alternatively you will lose some of the smaller leaves at the bottom if you don't properly reflect light to them or have too much foliage for your light to penetrate. It's something you can easily get away with and still have a nice harvest but your bottom colas will be stunted if you don't vert light or properly reflect.

Only snip your leaves if they are dried up and dead. Snip them mid-stem, not at the base, and let the twig try up and seal off naturally. This helps prevent infection. If it's just yellow but still firm at leaf and branch then leave it be, your plant will rejuvenate it later or use it as a source of expendable energy later.

On some of the other fan leaves higher up there are white dots, which is what happened to the main fan leaves before they started turning yellow. Not sure what it is. Thanks guys for all the advice. Im still pretty new so it really helps.

Peace

Are you for real? If you cannot contribute proper help, rather try not to. Second harvest? This person is not picking apples man, it's MJ. :peace:

vlokdog, If you follow the advice of growers like 'it's 5 o'clock somewhere' or roseman you won't go wrong.
Good luck

Feel free to point out which part of my advice was wrong. Double harvests work with marijuana if you properly snip your branches and don't just hack off the main stem.
