A quick update for you guys. I took a pic of my sprouts today. They look healthy. I would have had 4 but one didnt sprout and I accidently dumped another one while watering them. So I have 2 babies above ground and I have 2 more seeds germinating that should crack by tomorrow evening. Heres a pic of the new kids.

mine have been in the exact same size pots as yours for almost 2 months. some from clone, some from seed. i'm thinking about actually flowering a few in these same pots. they go into flower in a week or two. most will be transplanted into 2 liter pots for there final transplant but i think i'll keep 2 or 3 in these to see how they do.

the 4 on the right are from seed. the others are clones except one on the far left.

WOW! thats impressive, I think I will do a dirt SOG with those sized pots, what size are they btw? I didn't know plants can grow that tall with such small pots, doesn't the roots show from the drainage holes, what happens if you keep them like that and will it not hurt the plant in the flowering stage?

wow...that's pretty enlightening fdd. Everything I've ever read on here says to transplant them asap. Interesting.

canna, it's simple... I went and got (6) cords with female ends on them to take bulbs. I then picked up (6) Y splitters and screwed them into the female end so I could use 2 bulbs per cord instead of one. I made 6 holes in the top of my hood and dropped my fixtures in. I taped a power strip on top of my hood and plugged in the (6) cords. I installed my 12 CFL bulbs ( 2 per cord ) and the lighting was ready to go. If you have any other questions I'll try and help as best I can. Humboldt is another guy that has done really well with CFL's. You should check out his grow journal.

No sir, this is my first serious attempt. I tried to grow a couple of plants recently before I knew about ph, etc... and I failed. With everyones help here, I think I have a good shot at a successful grow this time. *Fingers crossed*

VV I noticed you commented on him upgrading his lights a bit for a larger grow but I was just wondering what you thought about the light to plant ratio, how much wattage/lumens do you need per plant per say?

And great lookin grow and set up so far I hope mine does just as well as yours, good luck on the results. -vega

I'm really pleased with the growth in just 4 days. This picture really shows how fast my little ones are growing under the CFL's.

12-26 watt during veg? dont you need about 100 watt per plant? your only putting out about 78 watts per plant..hmm unless i missed a post and you added more light?

I only have 2 plants, and there's 312 (26x12) watts on them. That's 156(312/2) watts per plant. I originally stated that I was going to grow 4 plants but changed my plans. I may start one more but 3 is the most I'll have growing at one time. I hope this clears things up. Thanks for checking in on me.
