DIY: Home Made CO2 Guide

i seen a generator made with a hose ran from the air pump, to the bottle, and a hose running out to release. anyone else seen or done this?
i was thinking of doing it, and running a hose splitter off the release, and a couple hoses level to the top of my plants.
1st post, great site, great threads, 1st time grower.

How much C02 does this release?
you can measure it ... put a ballon over the opening of the bottle and time it for one min .. that will give you an estimate of the cubic ft of pure CO2 you produce in one min ..


you can google search ways to get a more accurate measurement

hi sorry if this is a dumb question but i have been reading and in what way does it help with high temperatures?
Hey mate, there are no stupid questions.. We all didn't know something at 1 time or another..

The higher the temperature is, then the more CO2 the plant can absorb.
It increases significantly with just 1 or 2 degrees celcius..

got a quick ? do think its a good idea to keep a air stone at the botom of the co2 setup i was just checking out born2killspam diy plans and it sounds good just dont no if he met leave the air stone in or take it out what do u think

You don't seal the bottle, but you need something like an airlock to ensure the yeast is respiring anaerobicly, i.e without oxygen. If the top is open, it will respire aerobicly and you will get no c02.

pretty cool thread... now the real ? if i had a room 9/9/9 ..`with intake and outtake air shut off during the light cycle12/12 would 2 two 1 gallon setups release enough c02 to be better that fresh out door air ...and if so what ppm would you think 2 1 gallon setups would produce in that space...i know 300ppm is coming in from outside getting exchanged ...but would 2 setups pump the co2 ppms say to 1000ppm for 2 weeks......less or more.

Drill a 1/4 " hole in the cap that came with the bottle

too many variabls to say... there are test syringes ... that u can use to measure ppm of CO2... they have 'em at the hydro supply that I go to

ya.. i know but just curious no air leaks in this room

i was talking to someone at the bru shop and he grows, he said he uses 2 5gal. buckets to make co2 and he said it works grate. He said ull c the diff. thats for a 10wx10dx8h
