I don't think that's true at all. Obama was given a chance. He was elected. there are always haters on both sides of every issue, but proportionately Obama was given a big thumbs up in November.
It's what he has done with that win that is pissing everyone off. Not Obama himself.... but his nutty ideas. Nothing adds up the way he says it does. every number out of his mouth is at odds with the CBO, which are conservative in their numbers, meaning it gives an egde towards helping Obama.... but Obama is so far off it's ridiculous.
it is EASY to see why Obama wanted everything done without procedure and a thorough vetting of any of his ideas. they simply don't represent the truth.
Now that the ppl are demanding we slow down and actually discuss what Wash. is doing.... Obama numbers are falling in the polls.
This isn't a disconnect.... this is a confirmation from the ppl to Obama, that he is going the wrong way. And he is.... in the end, Obamas own party will destroy him. The left eats their children in the end.

Obama was the only real option in November. Realistically, it was him or Mccain, and with Bush's approval rating at the time, i think the attitude was "lets oust these damn republicans" and Obama was the only way to do that. And to further bury Mccain, he picked a horrible running mate, which brought his age into play. The strong support of the people for the new pres, followed by broken campaign promises, followed by loss of support, followed by anger from the people, is a story that plays out every 4 to 8 years. And Obama has done some doushy things so far, but im still glad Bush is gone. We'll see what happens from here.

Yes, I have posted as much before, one of the pitfalls of mob mentality and why we don't do away with the electoral process. Lots of ppl "fell" for the anti bush voting.... which was quite intellectually obtuse. None the less, the average IQ is 98.
None the less, these ppl still went into a booth and cast their votes, believing in what he said. He PROMISED.... lawdy.
Let me tell you something.... all of you. Since I was old enough to pay attention, politicians promise a chicken in every pot and tax relief. Taxes only have one general direction and I have yet to glimpse any chicken.
Politicians will tell you anything.... and with this election especially, the media let the country down.
All that could have been swept under the rug though, and Obama might have EARNED the real respect he took for granted after the election. He still has time but I don't see any indication he is going to wake up and get to the middle.
He certainly looks like a crash and burn victim on the political highway. He just hasn't hit the wall yet.
