I would guess that mainly depends on the strain. Kimber ( my biggest plant) will start alt nodes soon prob a week or a lil more.

Dude is that soap in your tank?
THis is def. a Q for the roseman.
Let me know what he says.

O ya are you cleaning out your tank between fill ups? If so it might be left over soap.

Whats up guys this is my first ever! I decided to go with SH and the Bubbleponic system. The reason being it is very compact, good for beginners, and comes with everything you need plus support via SH. I would like as much input as i can get on this grow so everyone's opinions are welcome.

Tues, July 28 2009: My First Grow began!

My Noob Mistakes: I had very many problems in the first 2 weeks with my grow. I found myself coming to this site everyday for help. So i took a week and read up on everything this site had to offer and fixed alot of
stuff because of it. So thankyou to everyone on here!

I didnt have covers over my net pots so i got alge in the tank. The temp was 65F at night and around 105F max during the day. Also i added nutes way to early. ( Not the system is in a shed in my backyard).

Sun, August 16: I move my grow to my basement. Add proxide to tank, clean everything, and made it look like new. I got thoes plants out of hell and now here are my specs.

24/0 light
ph: 6.0-7.0
temp: 72F min...81F max
Humid: 50-70%
Type: I belive it is top 44 but idk it looks Indica.
System: Bubblueponic Dual Spec II Kit, with SH nutes, powder PH up and down.

Here are my Pics:
These are my most recent pics.

Q: In pics 4 and 5 i topped the plant at the 5th node. I was just wondering if it looked like i did it right. Can anyone tell me?

Q: Do they look far enough along for the time? they started on July 28 and it is now Aug 20th.

Q: They are not very tall. Should i be worried or are the girls ok?

Please leave any feedback!
Your pruning is okay. In nature, animals, bugs, weather, etc top them so you're good. Indoors, top them after the 4th node and again every 2 weeks or so until you flower. Also, top the long side branches. The more tops, the more buds you'll harvest.
I notice ALL your main stems are purple. Maybe chenk your ppm, they may need more ferts, I think, unless it's the strain, and I dont know what you're growing. I didn't read all your posts.
The stress prolly stunted them, and they are way small for 4+ weeks. They should recover okay. You're losing a lot of light as well and light makes them grow. Try to paint the walls a flat white or get some foil around your plants.
You don't mention your water temps. Your water should be cool to the touch.
Lastly, your pH should be 5.5 to 6.5, with 5.8 being ideal...Your 7.0 is too high.
Hope this helps.

Thx harry. You cant see it in the pic because i have to move it 2 see my plants but i have another plastic shelf this covered in foil that i put infront of it. The walls to the left and behind are white and the other 2 sides are foil. As for my purple stems and my ppm i dont have a ppm meter, this was my first grow. I am growing top 44. An yes they are a lil small for 4 weeks thats because where i started them it was not ideal for plants to grow. It was in my shed where temps were 65F at night and 105F in the afternoon and i didnt have covers on my pots so i got alge in the tank. I moved everything to the basement and they have took off now that the conditions are ideal. Thx very much for your input.

Wow that is good over those 3 dyas.
So it was undesolved nutes, huh.
How are you adding them? Do you mix them in warm water before adding them to the res tank? Do you put it through a filter? J/W you grow interest me.

Also
Thanks roseman.

Ya I was told to have some warm water set aside from the other cool water in the tank and from there mix it in the warm water untill compleatly disovled and then put it through a filter in the to cool water so not extra is left behind. I read that some where in a roseman thread I think.

Last Night I removed the Irrigation system, wich was a great idea lol...My Ph was always going up and i didnt know why. When i took out my pump and ran it in the bathtub it was completely cloged with gunk and roots. Nowonder my ph was so off. Checked the PH this morning and stayed stable. Plants are looking amazing...If anyone wants pics today let me kno otherwise tomarrow they will be up.
