no i actually don't know. but possibly female cause thats what i read from where i got them.
so tell me. 250watt won't make big buds as big as a 400watt would right?

400 will penetrate and create bigger buds but u can still get decent buds with a 250 watt hps.The more wattage the fatter the buds.
you think that for the first 6 months i should use a 250 watt then for the last 2 months change the bulb to a 400watt ? would that be smart?

why 6 months?You can veg a month with the 250 then flower with it for 2 months and and a couple of weeks depending on the strain and see if u would like a 400 for your personal use.

if you dont like to spend 40 bucks a month get LED, and no ventilation, less heat less energy longer lasting... 90 watt ufo led is just about as good as 400 watt hps, ohhh wait they suck aat growing bud,,, oops nvm
ok sounds cool. yeah i will veg and flower with the 250. then by the time 6 months pass i will have money to buy a 400 and use it for the last 2 months or for the last month.

I fits a 250 watt bulb for hps system it will work.If you can find one that has added blue spectrum in it it will be better for your plant.
umm i didn't find any blue spectrum on the 250w category. is there any other site that sells them that you know off

No i dont know where they sell em but i know hortilux makes bulbs for 400 watts that r increased in the blue spectrum by 30 pecent.Maybe they make for 250s also.

Thats a good price for that bulb.
now i hear that it will be cheaper finding parts to getting a hps kit/system. meaning it will be more expensive if i just buy a hps kit/system that comes with everything. so do you think i'm better off buying piece by piece? like i got the bulb. what else am i missing? ballast? and the hood? thats 2. anything else?

I would go with buying the whole kit assembled already unless u have experince with wiring and electrical work then get it peice by peice.Check htg supply for lights they have cheap prices.`ez
so you wouldn't recommend a beginner buying piece by piece? instead just buy whole kit? umm anyone you can find me one. i know ill fail to find one. if you do look for one. would you just find a cheap one with a low watt bulb so i can just replace the bulb it comes with , with the blue spectrum one i showed you?
