Thanks for the information in this thread. I can see a couple of points of view here and it is clear what both of you are saying. I do not start count that the plant is in flower until it starts to produce flowers. Pre-flowers are a good indicator in sexing the plant, but they are not the point at which flowering has started. I keep a calendar, but that is just to show my watering and nute schedule. It is usually 3 or 4 days from 12/12 that a plant in preflower actually starts to produce real flowering. Hope that made sense...I am enjoying some flowers now.

Its a haze strain with 9-10 weeks flowering.

I would give it 10 weeks from the day after you threw it on 12/12.

Since its a haze strain if you ended up chopping it early will most likely increase the sativa effect, it will most likely be somewhere inbetween milky/amber, on the milky side.

If you are growing it for 'commercial purposes' I would just let it go for 11 weeks, they will pack on some more resin.

I know there are a few GH haze strains that are notorious for taking forever to finish, like nevilles haze...

Hmm.. i would say go ahead and start the flush. If you missed the "date" there is no harm in continuing forward "as planned". They look full and ripened I say flush for a week then harvest.

What/how many light(s) did you flower under? They look pretty damn fine! :bigjoint:

Doesn't matter how done they look if they aren't flushed properly the bud is going to taste like shit.

Worry about flushing before harvesting, when your plants are flushed out and changing colors, absorbing as much shit from the fan leaves as it can, its REALLY ready.

If your trichs are amber / milky however you want them and you havent flushed yet prepare for some couchlock by the time the bud is done flushing out the chemicals.

Flushing is a pretty important component. I don't remember what kind of nutrients you are using, but if its some kind of chemical fert (non organic) I would flush them for more than just 1 week.

I would start flushing now, they will be fully ripe before 10 weeks, you are in hydro.
ok fair enough ima start flushing but for how long???1 week or 2 weeks of flushing??? i know most likely 2 weeks so it can taste good but the thing is everything is going along with schedule cuz tomorrow(friday)was supposed to be the day i started flushing and i was gonna give it 2 weeks to flush and then on july 3rd i was gonna harvest so does this sound like a good idea???

Just flush it for a week, then check the trichs every day after that to see when its ripe enough for your liking. Two weeks of flushing would move you outside of the optimal harvest window.
