New CFL Grow

Where in the hell am I?

Well-Known Member
Okay, so I was posting pics and trying to journal on here for my last grow, but I totally f***ed up that grow. Out of 10 original clones, 3 made it. So tonight I am putting into flower the 3 purple urkel as well as the 5 others that have been vegging for 2 weeks. The 3 older kids have been vegging for like 4 weeks, but that is only due to the fact that I only have one grow space and it isn't possible for me to veg and flower @ the same time. So I have a rather large clone that I have been trying to get control of, and the other 2 are looking good finally.
This grow is completely organic, sunshine soil and organic nutes. I am using the nutes made specifically for what I'm doing. When my lights come on, it looks like day light, I'm adding additional CFL's for flowering. I was using 14 of those 23 Watt jobs that was strongest reccomended by those who I asked. I am only adding an additional 6 lights, but I am hoping that my placements of those lights will make the difference. I realize that there are no pics @ this point, hopefully one of my cameras will soon be returned by one of the holiday gnomes that snagged 'em.
To be honest, I had decided that this was going to be my last attempt with clones or seeds if I was unable to keep these alive. Every other time I have tried growing it has been half assed to say the best. It wasn't intentional, I thought I was doing things right, but info I had was not reliable or any good:wall:. I think that I am finally getting the hang of this and I look forward to many years of many grows. So, there is no need for feed back, but tune in 'cause I will have pics soon!!!:bigjoint:

CFLs

go read that thread, your 23 watt bulbs are like big tits on a nun.
Okay, thanks for sending me to your own thread. I think my nun might be letting alter boys titty fuck her. According to you, the spectrum from my lights are not effective enough and are most effective in flower. Well, my plants did phenominal during veg. I am not saying that you are wrong, I'm just gonna see what this crop yields (quality and quantity), brfore counting these lights out. I will thank you for your input. i am looking forward to learning and if this crop doesn't turn out well I can refer to your thread for help!

BTW-
To anyone paying attention, when I put my girls on to flower last night, they stood @: 5", 6", 7.5", 2@8", 9", 10", & 12". Cant wait to get some pics on here soon!

lookin forward to seeing it i am also using low wattage cfls and my plant hasn t let me down yet....get some pics up

cheers mate :)

I finally got my camera! SO I took a pic of my light set up ( I could take better pics of that for people who haven't seen lights :dunce:) I am also putting up pics of the girls. Please feel free to tell me what you think. They have all been on flower for 5 days now. In those five days the amount of growth has continued to amaze me.
In the pics, the girl in the 5 gal water bottle, as well as the two in the brown pots are Purple Urkel (they were veggin for a while.) The other 5 were vegging for 2 weeks and I can't remember what they are (I know they are puple somethin)

I am really hoping that my excitement and enthusiasm is not too much, 'cause to be honest I think that I'm doing hella good right now!
To date (on day 9 of flowering), my smallest plant is 8.5" and my largest is 21". There has been substantial vertical growth in all 8 of the plants, however that virtually pales in comparison to the growth in girth on the healthiest of them (there are 2 that honestly are not girthing up very much, but have definitely climbed vertically). The girthy growth is more good news to me than anything else (I think :?:), and the fact that everything is still very GREEN!!! (with the exception of some fan leaves that are yellowing, but still definitely breathing).
However, what I am most excited about is the fact that in the 9th day of flowering, all of them are already full of pistils! Please, don't burst my bubble too bad if that is to be expected by today. From what I read in the books that got me wanting to grow, they all insinuated that day 14 was generally the date to expect to see the pistils around.
Regardless of whether that's like hella good, or not, they are all looking fantastic!
Gonna put on a couple more pics of the light set up. I'll take more pics of the plants in the next couple of days, my camera sucks and its always depressing to see how much of what I see it DOESN'T capture!

So, the spider mites are hitting most of my girls HARD!!! I have responded by spraying tobacco tea. Since I am so early in flower, I am obviously not inclined to scrap the whole project. It's been a rough road on this grow, and if it is a good grow, the area will be disinfected, bombed, painted, all that shit!
Other than that . . .
All girls are continuing to show new growth, as well as a continuous expolsion of pistils. Due to the incredibly shittiness of my camera, I will not be taking any more pics for a few days. They just dont capture what there is.

Totally forgot to post the picsbongsmilie
Like I explained, shitty cam
