Examples of GOP Leadership

I highly doubt anyone expected them to...but they need to be said, loudly, and often.
Steele is usually pretty composed too. Time to call it as you see it (baseball rules).

From now until after 2024, you will see and hear things you never thought possible in the political arena..I'm likening it to painful, festering boil. Get ready Roger and please don't have an aneurysm- someday we shall all go to Dollywood together!

Here’s some more Republican respect for the Constitution (ahem). They love the second amendment. The first amendment, not so much.

i read that...i could give a fuck less. It's a typical fascist tactic, make people afraid to speak up. FUCK DESANTIS, I'd be proud to be on the top of his shit list. If i lived in fucked up florida right now, i'd be making statements about the entire government every day, and daily reports, graphically describing my statements....don't be afraid of fascist, get the fuck back up in their faces

I agree with speaking up and speaking out, but I wouldn’t be too cavalier about the actual nature of the threat. People thought Roe v Wade was unassailable also. This article talks about a 60s era SCOTUS decision the republicans would also like to overturn.

these are good times for the democrats. The republicans are dragging their own party through the mud, trump is getting closer and closer to running as an independent, the republicans best hope for a presidential candidate is a stiff necked mussolini clone with the personality of a rotten spoiled fish,
and the DOJ and their indictments loom over the whole scenario, like Zeus with a hand full of thunder bolts...
On a state level, republicans keep pushing for more extreme legislation, when most of them only hold their positions due to outrageous gerrymandering. The entire party is alienating everyone but their most deluded, diehard, refuse to change base, which isn't close to enough for them to win with.
They'll slowly be ousted from the positions they cheated their way into, and they'll be finished as a viable alternative. The only future for the republican party will be when the current crowd of white nationalist, racist, fascist lose their office, and they are replaced with people who aren't...what they are...
they're good and truly fucked if they stay on their current course.

i wouldn't worry about desantis too much. i doubt he'll ever get into the whitehouse, he can't get through an interview without getting mad and being a fucking douchebag...that doesn't play well on tv...and even though his base loves him, his base isn't even as big as trumps. If trump runs against him, they both lose, guaranteed...it would actually be the democrats optimal set of circumstances in 24. Additionally, desantis losing, badly, in 24, will poison him in 28, no one wants to back a previous loser.

It's hard for them to change course, they are being driven by a base of white trash who vote in their primaries. Things are so tight for many of them that losing just 10% of their base to Trump would be a disaster nationally for them. Donald still absolutely owns at least 30% of registered republicans and they will do what he says, even if he is on trial and there will still be enough loyalists even if he is in prison. The trick is to stress him out enough while letting him run around lose in a panic pending trial so that he goes after those "disloyal" to him. It would be nice to get as close to election day as possible before the cell door finally slams on Donald's ass. It would be worth it, if the result was a hat trick for the democrats and they could start destroying them in earnest using the power of the state.

They do seem to be doing a pretty good job of digging their own graves, particularly in the house, Trump's grave appears to be nearly finished though and Donald has been sweating mightily in the hole and has reached bed rock. However, it is the base that selects the candidates and only a psycho will do.

I look at Trump a bit like Obama (polar opposites), a unique talent and hard to replicate, it will be as hard for them to find another Trump, as for the democrats to find another Obama. There was something special about Donald, he was a psycho and many could see it, for the magats, this was someone who could give them what they really want, despotic minority rule and eventual genocide. These days the only way you can win a republican primary is to be a psycho or be able to act like one, which might be worse.

We might think Donald is repulsive and there is ample evidence of his stupidity and ignorance, but he managed to bring down dozens of lawyers and even owned Mitch for a spell, not bad for a moron, so he must have some narrow talent for sniffing out those with character flaws and exploiting them. He also can have a kinda hypnotic power over the weak minded when he speaks and whines, he is the king of grievance and leader of the aggrieved.
