I tried watching Bleach, but couldn’t even get to the third episode…guess I should try again?
Yes, definitely. It's one of those shows that take a little while to get into, then you get hooked deep and go back and watch it for 2-3 weeks every couple of years. It's up there with Hunter x Hunter as my favorite long running shounen type of show.

Well, I’ll put it on the list (gods know if I’ll live long enough to see it all (no, I’m not sick or anything, just old enough to be real aware of just how fast things can move))…I think it’s a great time to be watching anime, shit just keeps getting better and better.

I don’t think I’ve had any shows I’ve followed for so long: SAO, Kingdom, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Seven Deadly Sins, and the Fate stuff - that’s all I can think of as LONG (oh - Evangelion, but that could be because I was piecing it together for a few years from bits I found on the internet…the movies make MUCH more sense (to me)).

I recently watched the into the abyss movies and am going to watch the show when the last season is finished I’m not a big fan of anime but some do have good stories and plots and aren’t insanely hard to follow

hi, Hip’O!

I’m much the same, but I have some patience with shows that don’t make sense at first - if it’s well-designed & well-told (Steins:Gate), and the plot is not overly unbelievable when it arrives (hey, it’s anime). When I *decided* to start watching anime at large, I had a definite list of things (I thought) I wasn’t interested in but little idea of what I DID like, and I’ve been blown away by the stories over and over, but the storyTELLING is what I find so amazing sometimes.

Made in Abyss was one that really opened my eyes to where anime could go, and what it could do

nice to see ya around.....i got into anime in the early 90's, i've watched it develop over the years to what it is today. Me personally i like the art behind it, the story telling....if you have both of those in anime your good.....imho

if your interested in something good....ck out the Fate series, kinda think you'll like it....

My kids like the art and some of the storylines. I like some of it but the art and the story have to match up some of the crazy all over the place ones I tend to stray away from just because it’s to much visually but definitely do give them a try when I find one we like. we just watched drifting home it was pretty good. I’ll have to look into the fate series is it a action packed one or more of a flowing story or more drama I guess

Ironic…I’ve been so busy the last week or so, I’ve hardly watched anything at all - but that’s on the list

Should have mentioned this earlier, but…the Fate saga is NOT a flowing story at all, it’s a mess. An engrossing, very interesting mess, but…yeah

think each one is a different story setup, and it breaks down from there......to sub plot etc etc

It’s really all over the map: four(?) alternate timelines, nothing told in sequence, overlaps galore, characters dying, coming back, switching sides, how many movies, etc….

First look at fall season:

I’m the Villainess so I’m Taking Down the Final Boss -
Best show of the three so far: another ‘trapped in an Otome gameworld’ like we had over spring, but unique in many ways. Super well-done, not much like ‘My Next Life as…’. Passed the three-episode satisfaction mark in the first episode, next two episodes did not let down

Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun! -
A fun & funny show back for S3: keeps its crazy energy, but production values are up; expecting the slapstick rollercoaster ride to continue…for 21 episodes, apparently

Shinobi to Ittoki -
…is kinda like ‘welcome to Ninja school, Shinobi-kun!’ but no real humor so far. Still, a nice well-done first episode, looking forward to the season unfolding

In other news, Chainsaw Man is *live*, so go watch it (I’m about to)

Chainsaw Man is out: MAPPA outdoing themselves, as usual.
40+k likes on the first ep in the first 6 hours, 10+k 5-star ratings for the series. See it, it actually lives up to the hype (imho)

Villainess is nothing like I expected…I figured shojo-ish, but the tone, and the well-introduced MC, the design overall are top-rate, and the first 3 eps were released together. If the rest of the season falls apart, this first drop is special

Chainsaw man didn't disappoint when i caught the first espisode this weekend.......keep that on my list....

There is a new Fate out it seams (moonlight/backroom) arc, finally finished the Babilonia arc, and it didn't disappoint

Chainsaw man was pretty good, earned a second episode at least. Bleach is amazing, its as though they scrubbed away the last season and rebooted the show to when it was in top form. I love Uzaki-chan, glad to see her back again...lets see...mob psycho is decent, My Hero Academia is always good, plus a couple more I'm watching for now at least. Not a bad season at all, better than a lot of recent anime seasons.

I Finished both episodes earlier this morning. The new animation style is very appeasing to me. When Ichigo went "Ban...Kai!!!" I had so much nostalgia flow through me I think the hairs on my arm stood up.

Old man Yamamoto is soooo bad ass, I was extremely happy to see this scene finally animated.

Part of Division 11 made an appearance but no Kenpachi as of yet. Hope nothing is cut from his backstory.

So is it more gory or is it just the new look? Either way I'm loving it.
