I imagine state republicans are working hard to close that "loop hole" and I'm sure if they win in November it will be on the legislative agenda. Unfortunately many states passing these idiotic laws don't have exceptions for anything, Islam has far more liberal abortion laws then they do. Check it out, it's true, they are further ahead socially than Texas, the Taliban are more liberal.
You will be hard pressed to find any example in law that does not allow for exceptions for the health of the mother, much less having "no exceptions for anything". Post em up.

I heard today some Republican states are trying to pass laws to ban out of state travel to seek abortion. I have a Supreme problem with that.

I wouldn't celebrate the fact that the republicans just broke the American legal system, yet another institution of democracy destroyed by the right.
You have to be careful with this logical fallacy no matter which political views you may hold because by this standard the Dred Scott decision would still be standing.

The power is in the state. Who the fuck cares about a red or blue anything when it comes down to it. Go where your happy. Lots of Americans are relocating to where they feel works for them.
And THAT is the real issue. Abortion is not a specifically enumerated power of the Federal Government. The implications are huge because neither is anything really, drugs, immigration, education ect.

What do you think would happen with a woman facing murder over an abortion or miscarriage in a red state who is in a blue state?

So you are in effect saying that 10 year old girls don't get raped and pregnant. You are attempting to justify a both sides are the same argument by citing a supposedly false story that appeared in the news. So because the story might be false, then no child is raped and impregnated and therefore there is no problem with the law?

You said the story was completely fabricated, that is misleading, it was not confirmed, it was not proven to be fabricated.

"An abortion by a 10-year-old is pretty rare. The Columbus Dispatch reported that in 2020, 52 people under the age of 15 received an abortion in Ohio".

"The Bottom Line
This is a very difficult story to check. Bernard is on the record, but obtaining documents or other confirmation is all but impossible without details that would identify the locality where the rape occurred".
Thats reaching pretty far bud. Of course they do. I just don’t like them feeding the masses bs stories, hear say at best to let us dumb folk know that they do. To say it was fabricated is no less misleading then saying it wasn’t in this instance

Bye bye America, states rights before basic human rights and they are required to consider treaties the US signed like the UN human rights charter as well as the constitution. However the UN did not exist in the founders time, neither did repeating fire arms, just black powder back then too. The 2nd was for military purposes and said arms, not guns and back then that included cannon, rockets, bombs and grenades too, not just guns, guns are not mentioned in the 2nd.

Ya kinda see how the line of federalist society logic goes?

There will be plenty of stories that will be confirmed, even though it is a private and secretive matter. I'll post a few and you can confirm the sources, it's just a question of time and not much either.

That was my view for a long time and what I personally went with. I think it's making things worse though. We are going to our corners and digging in rather than working together. It leads to congress being increasingly polarized, you have to bow to the extremes of whatever party wins in your state in order to get through the primary, wackos don't lose anymore. That in turn leads to everything breaking down further still.

Open primaries in all 50 would eliminate much of the extremism and lead to far less political tribalism. You would also get better people running in both parties with a consistent story in primaries and the general election. It is a simple solution that comes with issues, but it is doable and will rid the republicans of the lunatics and fascists faster than anything else.
