SuperThrive isn’t a terrible idea, I use it literally every watering and have for years, never had an issue…

Snake oil
doesn't your google feature work?
I highly doubt it's "snake oil," seeing how on a Google search it's got a 4.5 star rating out of 14,634 reviews on Amazon and then it's got a 4.7 rating out of 13 reviews at my local hardware store.

Furthermore, it was first made available for sale in 1940, 82 years ago. I highly doubt a product would still be on store shelves almost a century later if it didn't do what it was marketed to do.

what's wrong with Superthrive? They sell it at my local hardware store, it can't be that bad?
Vitamin B1 doesn't have any demonstrable benefit to plants.

One of many:

University of California research on vegetables failed to prove that B1 reduces transplant shock or stimulates root development. Researchers found "no discernible differences in color or vigor among treatments" when B1 and B1 plus iron, manganese, and zinc were used on peppers, pole beans, squash, sweet corn, tomatoes, and watermelons. Elsewhere, studies on chrysanthemums, citrus, and roses have reached similar conclusions."

Yes, hardware stores do indeed sell snake oil.

It’s just been sitting on the shelf 99% full lol. Placebo is a serious thing though.
I probably won't use it solely due to the fact it's not organic. You're the second person to mention using it and seeing no effect. And considering the high score it's received throughout SEVERAL different websites, I find this really odd lol.

Imagine if this website added a 'Superthrive' react button
