Garden Weather

Good Morning folks. I'm having a hell of a time with my garden and this everyday rain. There isn't huge amounts. Today's rain has been 0.8 inches so far. And for a few days there were only light rain. I'm picking my tomatoes as soon as they show color or they split. Sometimes they split anyway.

I'm sure you guys have your issues too. We can commiserate.

On the sandhill at 2045 it's raining, 72F with 93% humidity. Forecast low of 71F with 100% chance of rain tonight, a high of 81F with 60% chance of rain tomorrow. I'm hoping that little hurricane will be close enough to give me a couple three days without rain.

Summers in the south.

My prediction proved true. The little tropical storm that came through took the rain with it. At least for one day, there has been no rain. I do feel bad for all the guys getting flooded up coast, but I'm just happy for the day of sunshine.

We need it worse here out west. Unfortunately there is no rain in sight for weeks. Just nice sunny dry days in the 80's.

If I could, I would gladly share. My reprieve from the rain was one day. We had thunderstorms this morning before day. And the day started hot and humid. When I got up, every window in the house was so covered with condensation I couldn't see out.

We had a late spring too. But frost on June 4th is crazy, even at your lat.

We've had thunder every day, but the rain has missed us for a couple three days. I watered the stuff in pots a couple days ago, then everything in raised beds today.

At 1540 it's partly cloudy, 93F (HI of 101F) with 54% humidity. Forecast low of 73F with 15% chance of rain tonight. 10 day has 7 days of possible rain.

Upper 70's and low 80's for at least the next 10 days with no rain in sight. At least it's cooled down but we need some damn rain out here.

WUnderground says we only got down to 39F this morning. Not cold enough for frost, right? My squash say otherwise.

Just yesterday I told myself I needed to get a good picture of the blooms to post on HDYGG. Day late and a dollar short.
We need some serious cold this winter, otherwise the freaking bugs next year are going to be horrible. Feel this year the moths were thicker than I could remember them being in the past.

I need to burn the weeds from the field behind the house where the longleaf were. I have seedlings coming in December, then more in January, so I hope we have a killing frost before then.

Last night I was talking to my BIL and he said there was ice slush in his chicken's water bowls Monday morning. The low was 39F that morning too.
