Thanks again you're the best why are you so offended by this? I understand you're a bully and and want people to cower and bow to you but you got the wrong guy. I'm that guy! That's going to follow you to your house after you cut me off in the roundabout cause I got nothing better to do than to bring to your attention that you aren't special and that the law applies to you as well I got the wit and intelligence to support any argument I make and telling me that you got a bunch of expensive lights just tells me you have more money than brains. And since I don't engage in battle with someone who's unarmed our battle of wits is over. Byeeee.
Here's a tip do you see the enormous cooling apparatus on that how many of your watts are being converted to heat and not light hmmmmm. Wasteful and inefficient. Sure watts tell you how much power you are pulling from the wall but how much of that energy is converted to light is determined by other factors including diode efficiency fact. Check it. Again being stubborn is no advantage and you have proven that your knowledge is lacking
You do realize that if you learn to read the info, it TELLS you how efficient they are. While you're all tied up in whether the lights are 1,3 5w; the specs when read will tell you how efficient things are. Using old school blurples is great except that there's been a decade worth of race to increase efficiency and pinpoint the frequency bands.

By the way, the LED's in each of my lights is running at 2.34375 w/per LED. It's not a 'huge apparatus' for cooling it literally is a passive heat sink. Note that your plurples are using fans for cooling. You're losing efficiency by having active cooling.

The fact that you're calling my lights 'wasteful and inefficient' shows that you literally don't have any idea what you're talking about.

Keep growing them bean poles in you basement and have fun bro. Peace. Im the fuck outta here this is pointless with you.
Ok but remember it doesn't need a heat sink if it only makes light I'm going to continue to rely on math and facts and make informed decisions and not take someone else's word as the gospel truth

Yeah my free gifted lights have fans. You caught me. As a contractor I've been familiar with leds for decades and the fact has always been that efficient leds don't need cooling. And yes someone gave me some lights and I'm using them

I love how this new generation calls everyone a "bully" because they're engaged in discourse.

You disagree with me? You bully.

Guess everyone wants to be in an echo chamber
No, you call people names and disrespect and talk down to them and make no attempt to answer the question or stay on topic and are here to promote yourself by putting others down. That's what I call a bully.I've kept this as respectful as I can .some people are offended by others who think for themselves have you read this thing from the beginning and kept the topic I'm getting beat up over the fact that I bought a light and wanted to talk to anyone wo had used the same thing to exchange experiences and knowledge about it. From there it turned into a slugfest and every time I fact check some things I get attacked for not taking someone else's word as the gospel truth. Objectivity is in no one's vocabulary here. You bought whatever, it's the best. Ok I'm happy for you. I have what I have and I'm working with that and I will get what I get and Noone should feel threatened or offended by that. what the fuck is wrong with you all?

You're right 127 watts makes light the balance of your 209 total watts consumption is...... heat.i literally do know what I'm talking about

Get some white leds for flower. You’ll have much better and denser bud growth. Lights have gone down a lot in price just plug the specs into the coco for cannabis calculator and it’ll tell you what you need for your space.

From the start, you did pick a kinda loaded topic. Blurple lights questions and flushing questions can bring out the mob quickly on RIU. Clapping back at people that have decades of experience growing weed and have been down a particular path already can make a thread toxic fast too.

Try to keep in mind that many experienced growers who responded were not trying to tell you that “brand x” lights are the best. It may have appeared that way to you, but most were actually trying to help you to ultimately maximize your grow parameters, yield and finished bud quality. This point gets lost a lot when people start arguing online.

Genetics, lighting, environment and grower skill are the biggest factors in a successful grow.

People have grown pot just fine under various lights, including blurples and even old school 8’ fluorescent tubes.

But, I haven’t seen anyone that has switched to a newer led quantum board or bar light want to go back to blurples. I have seen people switch back to HID from blurples, and then not want to try other LEDs because their blurple experience sucked.

Grow your stuff under the blurples and see how you do. Maybe upgrade later, or don’t.

Thick skin on RIU helps too. It really is a good forum but has its trolls. Stay the hell out of the politics forum though, trolling in the growing forums is child’s play compared to there.

I'm planning on supplemental lighting in the yellow to green range as they help somewhat to regulate stem elongation and node spacing Photone is saying my DLI is very high in the 50-60 range my next plants are going into flower this week and I may have better results though I'm not disappointed with the progress so far and politics is a hands on affair in our home as my wife is a politician.
