Are BagSeeds worth it ?

Hey guys , i’m from a country which cannabis is illegal, so we don’t have breeders or seed banks , only seeds came from buds you buy , my dream is to grow in home , because i even rarely found good buds to buy . So what to do with those bag seeds i find ? Is it worth it to grow them ? Will i get the same bud quality as the buds i found the seeds in ? Or lower quality? Honestly what to do if you were in my shoes ?

If that is all you have access to, then of course it is worth it. You can learn a new skill and in return get better quality weed since you are in control of your growing environment. Follow your dreams, you want to do it, so do it . The bud you bought was an inferior product because they were motivated by money, not quality. You'll do great if you honestly want to learn it.

If you are really unable to buy seeds from a breeder, then bag seeds are your only option. That means, if you want to grow, they are worth it, it is all you have...

Cannabis is illegal in my country, too. That does not mean I can not order seeds from a lot of places (in other countries).

Seeds are very difficult to detect at customs (border checks). You can order them online with a very low risk of them getting confiscated.

Since you spend at least 4 months to grow a plant from seed to harvest, in my opinion you should only use seeds from reputable breeders, if it's at all possible for you to acquire them.

Take the bag seeds and plant them in a corn field. If they're good, it's some free flower in mid-october.

Run them and be glad you have them.

If you find seeds in smoke you like it can be worth it. But it’s definitely hit or miss. Seed banks mostly ship worldwide, regardless of legal status some will even reship if they’re intercepted by customs.
can you guys recommend some names ?

It will have to be a personal choice. What's the risk? What's the punishment for say 2 plants? Here in the states some places had a mandatory minimum of 5 years per plant. Find out what the punishment could be and make your determination that way.

so what is the advantage of getting seeds from a breeder ? only to know that they will be only females ?
No I usually buy regs not fems

The advantage is like buying some of Karmas stock
I have the chance to get a pheno that closely resembles the original IBL

Taking a bag seed is less consistent

i mean my bagseeds will have the same quality and genetics as the mother which the buds came from ?
Not necessarily. Think of cannabis genetics like human genetics. Typically, a person will favor the appearance of one parent over the other. Cannabis is the same way. Take 10 seeds and you'll end up with variations between then because of the genetic lottery. They could be as good as the mother could be worse could be better.

Not necessarily, It depends on how the plant was pollinated to make the bag seed. If the plant hermed and pollinated itself, then you will likely find similar plants to the mother with some variation.
If the plant was cross pollinated by a different strain, then you will see about a 50/50 mix of plants with about half taking after the mother and half taking after the father. The only way to know is to grow it out.

I tried bag seed and never again. I had all different pheno and 1 out of 4 was any good. Buy straight from the breeder.
