Running another relay this weekend, heading out to Oklahoma City. I'm going to leave tomorrow morning around 3-4am.

I'll be coming through south Chicago to pick up on I-55 through St. Louis to get to I-44 and run that out west. I'll try to get some pics of St. Louis if traffic isn't too busy when I'm passing through. I think St. Louis is a cool looking town

I'm not sure what I'm bringing back to Michigan, I just know the driver I'm meeting is going to have something from Texas. I'm kinda hoping it's another load of Titos Vodka lol, we've had two of out OTR drivers bring in two trucks full of Titos this week already for us local drivers to take to a distributor in Livonia, MI

There's a giant knife store outlet down in Missouri just off I-44 that I hope I have time to stop at and maybe buy another knife. I collect knives.

Here's my newest addition to my collection, I got this one a couple weeks ago.

Benchmade Osborne 940-1, there's a couple different styles of this knife, I got the one with G10 scales. I like it, it carries in the pocket pretty nice, it's slim and light. I like the blade style the reverse tanto point. I wouldn't say this is a heavy use or hard use knife but it's decent for just every day use

Here's a dock I had to get into earlier this week in downtown Kalamazoo, MI. This was not an easy one lol, I had to back in off a busy street and it was tight, there was barely any room to swing my tractor around to straighten out. The dock was inside a building and it was dark, they didn't even have lights on each side of the dock for me to square up my trailer, it was a tough one.

Here's a sign laying on the ground that another driver knocked down because he ran up on the curb/sidewalk to get on this dock lol

Stopped in Greenville, Ill to top off fuel and get lunch on the way down to Oklahoma City. Going to make it to Strafford, MO later this afternoon and shut down for the day. Will end up 670 miles from our yard today.

Here's lunch, these are my demon. I cannot resist chilli cheese roller dogs

I made it to Oklahoma city, well I'm actually about 7 miles northeast at a Flying J waiting for the other driver.

Tiny little shit hole this place is, most Flying J are shit hole. I never stay at Flying J if I don't have to. Just doing a quick trailer swap when he gets here and I'm out

Hot hot here today with excessive heat advisory 97° I'm good, I just got an extra large ice tea to sip on. Also couldn't resist a souvenir, got a new baseball hat from the truckstop

So the driver I'm waiting on just left Dallas so it will be a little bit before he gets here, that's enough time for me to get a quick power nap lol

Oh yeah, I didn't go to the knife outlet in Missouri. I got an email from KnifeCenter.com that they had some limited run Spyderco knives available so I ordered one of those when I was chilling at the rest area last night.

Pretty excited to get this one, the blade steel is Cru-Wear. Cru-Wear is a super tough tool steel and from reviews I've seen it will take a wicked edge and hold it for a long long time, it's like 61-63 Rockwell, so real strong steel.
It's not stainless steel but carbon steel so there will be a little maintenance keeping the blade oiled

Here's the knife I ordered

I'm also ordering a custom titanium deep carry pocket clip for that knife when I get it. I'll get the clip from here

I'll post pics when I get my knife

Are CB's still used?
Yeah, but not as much anymore. I always have mine on though, always.

You hear some crazy funny stuff sitting at the truckstop lol, not for the easily offended that's for sure

Here's my CB a Uniden Bearcat 980SSB (single side band)

The illumination can change about 8 different colors but I like it green. That radio can also use a cordless mic but I don't have one, I'd probably lose it

I have an old one made before they reduced the power output. It's in the garage somewhere. It has an amplified mike with a battery in it. Used it when we were out in the woods to avoid being run over by logging trucks.
