Greed and the ability to look over the obvious will kill most of us here, I have to wonder what makes them think they can terra-form Mars when we can't take care of what we have here ?

The Earth will shake us off like a wet dog shaking off after a cool refreshing swim and continue like it was before we hurt her.
It's worse than that. The earth doesn't even know we are there.

We aren't even a sedimentary layer to her.

Basically this is The Dirty Dozen meets When Worlds Collide: a grubby team of oil drillers headed by Willis is dispatched to save the planet by nuking the asteroid from within. Michael Bay, who was more comfortable with the subtleties of The Rock, is director and coproducer, and among the credited and uncredited writers—all of them clearly encouraged to work in their sleep

I forgot how many good actors were actually in that really, really bad movie.

Christians these days have absolutely nothing to do with Christ. In fact, they're about as far removed from him as you can get.
Our local paper made a similar observation and went as far as to call them ians - put Christ back into ian. Some local church leaders are also antimaskers/antivaxers. A while back, the weekly cartoon depicted the preacher being slingshotted out of town with a surgical mask.

My uncle was a missionary in Bolivia for over 25 years. At our annual picnic in 2017, he expressed his delight that the cheato was President, as it'd allow him to observe the rapture during his time. You do realize we all die, right? Haven't spoken since.

Armageddon in my mind is the constant struggle facing future generations, as climate wreaks havoc on people's comforts. Man has come a long way, and innovation will continue to ensure we're here for some time. Agricultural practices and population density could be looked to curb a portion of the man accelerated climate change. Greed and stupidity aren't helpful either.
