Us old farts can be opinionated.. have patience with us.
I have a cpl strains older then WW in my rotations..... They have pretty much been buried under the strain compost pile of time.
Yet their legacies live on.

No worries, I can be pretty opinionated myself. It's all good bud, we are all here for the same reason and I looked at some of the strains you mentioned. I am always looking for new things but still love some of my old favorites. Right now I am running Shiva Skunk and Maui Waui only because I always liked them and I am dying to see how they do on my rosin press.

For me, the genetics Im most interested in are NL5/Haze hybrids, and PNW Hashplant x Skunk1..

Ive been smoking weed since 1966, and grew my first plant in 1972, but my mother found it, and tore it up long before it was ready. Started growing using 8ft SHO Fluro bulbs in 76, and then High Times started advertising a HALIDE bulb used by the US NAVY Subs to grow veggies, but was very fragile, and they would not guarantee it in shipping.
Move up about 6 months in 1977-78, and they came out with a HID 1000w Halide called the Super Nova, and its been on from then on.

But Ive seen a good deal of weed over 55 years, and by far the best stuff I ever saw for inside was an early 90s NL5/Haze x Hashplant/Sk1. It had everything one could possibly want in weed as far as potency, taste, quality of high, long lasting. Its main negatives were it was extremely lung buster, and in many would cause extreme paranoia, nausea, disorientation, and hypoglycemia. I had many people that would smoke it twice. I actually lost some customers over it.
But the taste was of pure floral Nepali Hash, and the smell of flowers, and cat piss. 1 bud would smell up the whole house. You could smell it growing out in the street. I grew it from 92-97 when the feds got it, when a partner ratted me out. I gave him 500 clones, and I had 500+ more, and 40 6 ft tall mother plants, and 30 flowering plants. He had a 1000 acre farm in south central Ky.

I did from 1997-2009 with the feds, and have bought at least $15,000 in seeds since 2009, and have yet to find anything thats remotely close to that weed, and that includes an ORIGINAL Chem91skva clone. That weed was also done in 6-7 weeks, but early Nov outside. Fastest stuff ever inside.

Reason I like AKBB so much, as well as Connoisseur ect is because they have the NL5/Hz hybrids, and AKBB also has PNW Hashplant, and Super Skunk Hybrids.

Dominion Seed company also had genetics using the Skelly Hashplant x 80s SSSC Sk1 as the male, which is hard to find. I wish someone would just make a straight Hashplant x Sk1 cross.

My genetics are pretty good you ask me . Humboldt csi and green house seeds are not bad .
My question is ever plant going to get your high enough that it's better than just mids or am i looking for a specific pheno.
My trichomes where all cloudy with 5 percent of that amber my last harvest when I looked at few . I didn't look at all the plants.

That is sad. I remember BC in the 1990's and getting skunk weed that was so stinky it could not be hidden. So resin covered that even dry it had to be kind of cut into slivers and mixed with tobacco or other weed to get to burn in a joint. Now they have crossed the shit out of skunk strains and nothing seems to compare any more. It's unfortunate.

Part 3

Kinda got beat to the post on this subject but, lets try and clear some of this up.

Dry for about 2 weeks at 50% RH in the drying space. They are dry when you bend the stems and they "crack" and not just "bend over".

NOW jar it and burp those for a few days, OR simply throw Boveda packs in each jar and let them set and CURE for at least 4 weeks, 6 is better and 8 is better yet!

mine are at 6 weeks today what little i have left in the jar 18 grams with a boveda i just cracked the jar today to dole out my daily gram and it smells like candy mixed with skunk poo lol its just keeps getting better

Ya man. I remember sitting in college and this chick beside me kept saying someone got sprayed with a skunk and everyone was looking at me. Man i was so stoned my eyes looked like a glossy red marble lmao. Lucky my teacher was cool and basically told me 'never again' i got the point. Hahahaha. I sold a guy 2lbs and he buried it in his backyard cause it smelled his entire house up so bad it smelled like a grow room. Lmfao. No joke. Lol oh man. The shit we used to do....

Stray to far? Yes you must keep a cutting of every plant when hunting through seeds so you dont discard the best one by accident, even the best seeds. Cloning is a must for high end weed.

I think I'm ok with genetics. I have a bunch of clone only breeder strains in veg also. I have more than those company's that's just who's seeds I dropped last round . I have seeds from green point seeds thseeds chimera verdant green tony green rare darkness Cannarado in house green house seeds bog Mr nice positronics Scott's farms rez dog older stuff nirvaina tom hill ect ect ect . Csi is as good as any other top notch breeder .
That was a year ago I spent allot of time dialing stuff in.
I redid allot since then . Chiller humidifier ac air exchange . My room vpd is close to perfect . Ppm is 600 in veg 1100 max in flower. PH dead on.
So every health plant should be really good smoke not mids that has a quick high.
I have to find picture but the smoke came out great looked great just didn't have that kick to drive it home.

Yes as you seen . There new. The genetics are fine . I don't want to say but I ran allot of strains allot more than were legal in my area.
With out getting into my history this is my first harvest not my first grow . I used to do this with some one else for along time . I was member of hg420 back in the day. I supply the money the guy I was with who isn't here any more did allot of the growing .
What have you grown from ghs to make you dislike them?
For arguments sake let's say everything is perfect in my grow genetics setup ect . Will every seed grown plant be good smoke. I'm saying good as in better than mids.

People also need to remember that just because one grower's results were poor or bad doesn't mean another growers won't be better. Some can grow the latest new strain that's supposedly fire and end up with low quality fluff while another grower can grow White Widow and produce fire. The grower has significant impact on the final results.

WW used to be a killer strain, but is nothing like it used to be, like many strains. Sensi NL5/Haze is Nothing like it used to be. Sensi NL5 is no longer advertised at NL5, just NL. Sensi Mr Nice is junk, Sk1. Afghani #1. AK47, White Russian. They lost many of the genetics over time to fires, raids, and diseases.
Thats one reason I tell people to get AKBeanBrains Gear, Relic, Connoisseur, Dynasty, Nature Farm, Swami, bluegrassskunklord, Lucky Dog and some others as they have many of these old school genetics, and more on the way. Connoissuer IMHO is probably the best place to get Haze hybrids, and Super Silver Haze hybrids. SSH brings huge structure, and fast growth to anything its bred to. Connoisseur, and AKBB also share genetics

Mr Nice lost his Skunk his sk1 but crossed it with g13. There’s still fire in that line if you do a pheno hunt of the g13 skunk.
I rate Mr Nice SSH over other breeders because he still has cuts from Neville but I would use at least 30 beans to find the right pheno.

Can some one please help me and answer the one quest I have . Please.
Will all seeds grown from good genetics with a good healthy plant that's cured correctly produce decent quality bud. Something better than mids , something you would normally see on the street or is that pheno hunted?

Grab some cheese s1 beans and you'll have skunk #1. Cheese I've read is really good.

I forgot to point out that this is not the lab results from Golden Tiger that I've grown. These are the results posted on ACE's website as they do with many of their strains. They also put dates on their seeds which is nice.
