Yes. Barely. Don’t forget 70 million voters wanted the other guy.

I honestly believe if Sanders (who calls himself a socialist) got the Democratic nomination trump would still be president. Why do you think trump wanted to run against him?
Hillary Clinton was as moderate as you can get but we'll never know about Bernie Sanders, will we?

why do you think he said that?

I read it differently. She’s talking about unifying the country not the party.

I don’t think Biden can bring the country together with a divisive, overly progressive agenda, unfortunately.
we the people will be looking for what was promised us and Biden is not Trump..the expectation is promises made promises kept

President Elect Biden may need to run the tape in case he forgot because we plan on collecting on those promises.

so she's speaking for the House now? (reference to Clyburn) does she even have a seat?

was there ever a time when you weren't allowed to say the word (or reference) 'jew'?

Bernie would have lost this election against Trump, no doubt about it. America spoke in the primaries for the democrats and left and America spoke loudly in the general election.

You will get what you want, a moral choice will give you single payer healthcare and the other things you seek. Forget ideology and focus on moral behavior and the right things will be done. I mean actual moral behavior and beliefs, not a hypocritical public show of "finding Jesus". A simple guide is putting others and larger things first and yourself second, this is the core of morality, others first, country first as some say.

Im not really sure what that means though.

Anything that gets done will be branded as 'overly progressive agenda', all that congresswoman was saying is that by using the propaganda terms that our citizens are being attacked with is what hurts the cause.

Doing things right is not a radical thing, and is not something that people don't want to see.

The trick is making sure that people who are seeing information about it are getting

Licking his lips like the snake he is.
It is so weird. Are they doing this on purpose, because how else does something that stupid happen?

You should watch today's Face the Nation interview with Congressman Cedric Richmond. He explains it really well, 'you can't govern if you can't win, ..., but if we lose, we won't be able to pass legislation for at least 2 years.... And some titles hurt, "Defund the police" is a title that hurts Democrats'.

Agreed. My comment about the progressive agenda was another point I was making and didn’t mean to imply the Congresswoman was making it.

Did she keep her seat? They were still counting at the time of the article.

we don't know that and if you did friend, then you're doing the wrong thing- i'd be putting that skill to work and making money, predicting the lottery etc. do you know why a psychic cannot predict the lottery?..why they have to work for a living?

we have an agreed to coalition..now we'll see if the deal is kept.

i thought we weren't going to gloat?
Liberals don't spend much time on useless counter productive emotions, there are lives to be saved and pressing problems to be solved. Every word and action, both tactical and strategic, should have the ultimate goal of survival foremost in mind. The objective is to win the peace here, not a war, you do that like the allies did at the end of the second world war, you make allies out of enemies with kindness, justice and addressing real grievances, not imagined ones.

You also wrestle control of the media space and insist the truth is a basic human right too, as well as being essential to a modern functioning democracy. The press is protected under the constitution, is a profession and journalism an academic study, disinformation and propaganda are an attack on this vital institution, both from with in and by foreign actors, all enemies foreign and domestic remember.

Interesting how the word "Socialist" gets bandied around. In the US it seems to be almost akin to Communist and used to scare people. There are different degrees of Socialism, just like any political ideology. The Scandinavian countries like Denmark have a degree of Socialism and they're doing just fine.
I think what's really happening is the rich/powerful have painted Socialism to be dangerous, when in fact a moderate amount of Socialism would work well if it were allowed to happen. The rich/powerful just don't want it because it's in many ways about fairness, and those people don't want fairness, they want to carry on in the same old way, making the system work for them instead of the people.
